  1. I'm also in the market for a new saddle. I currently have the Selle Italia Trans am gel but find that on the longer rides 5 hrs + I seem to chafe alot even with anti chafe cream. I'm not sure but I think that maybe the saddle has to much cushion in it. The problem I face is how do I know what saddle is best for me and my a$$. I'm not aware of any bike shops that have demo models that you can tryout for a week or so and then if you like it buy it. How did everybody else go about getting the correct saddle? Thanks Paul
  2. Yes..guys it's on a MTB riding with guys doing SabieX this weekend so LSR = Long Slow Ride. I training for the EPIC so Slow Long is good. But that is not my question
  3. I'm currently using the Polar training program and have a question. Lets say you have a 13 hour training week and you allocated 2:30 to one morning ride as I did this morning. I download the session from the watch and all of a sudden something struck me. Have a look at the following As the polar spreadsheet specifies I should be training in the 116 - 143 HR zone so if you look at the above I only spent 1:32 in the actual zone the rest was below. Does this mean I only take the 1:32 as real training? I believe it is. Can anybody give any advise on this. Do I recalculate say on a Friday and then determine that I'm an extra X hours behind and try and catch up on the weekend above the normal training. Thanks Paul paul.hunter2007-12-12 04:09:49
  4. Thanks all for your comments. I have finished all the races but the cramps are a real pain "no pun intended ;-)" especially when the guys I train with don't experience any problems.
  5. Hi Guys I do a fair amount of training 8-10 hours a week. However when I do any races I seem to always cramp. Has anybody else had this problem and how do I fix it. Thanks Paul
  6. If I remember correctly it was around the fact that if you use wheels like Mavic alot of people do so spares are easy to get hold of there is less maintenance on them. Can somebody also help me out with the major differences between UST which Mavic use and ZTR rims that use I think Stan kit? Is proper tubeless better? If I went custom what rims should I go for? Thanks Paul
  7. Thanks for all the replies guys...Some of the guys I've spoken to say these type of custom wheels are good for one day races not multi day races like SANI2C and Epic?
  8. Greetings All I'm in the process of purchasing new wheels for my bike. It's a choice between Mavic SL/SLR's or custom built Tune hubs and Olympic ZTR rims. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks Paul paul.hunter2007-10-03 00:23:43
