Just make sure your headset and wheel axle are also correct and do not have any play. But by the sounds of it the other posts have more than likely focused on the solution. Buy new pads and see what happens. No need to throw the old ones away until tested. With life the better quality pads you buy the less issues you have. Please post your solution when you find it.

Chris thanks for the coffee again 😁. What job do you do again? How many times do you go back before you get paid? A bike is pretty simple. Not saying I know it all don't get me wrong. The shop should have a checklist they run off for every job. It eliminates crappy work. Ask the customer to have a ride before they drive off. It is not hard to get it right. There are a lot of complaints here about bike shops. They need to improve to get my money. As mentioned I have my guy now. He is good. He doesn't like me coming back so he gets it right first time 🙈😂

I wouldn't have minded if the fit fitted. It hurt my back. To the degree I couldn't sleep. So I did my own fit. Now I get 8 good hours every night. As so many times mentioned here. No every fish is for every pond.

Yes. You are correct. I have now found the right mechanic for "me". I sit and talk to him while he works on my bike. No *** no story. I am happy to pay for good service. I am not happy to pay for stupidity. Seems there is a lot of that around here. You do you boss. I will do me. I fall out with a lot of people. I don't like lies either. My world is small but the people in it are pretty much all my best friends.

Bike fit pffffft. Waste. Been to sports science institute and their fitment nearly broke me. Couple grand that was. Spent a day doing full test and adjust. I feel good. Mostly I feel confident some geyser hasn't told me what I am doing wrong. I do about 18000 a year. So that's my take.

A beautiful Tokai yesterday. Borrowed a mates ebike and it was just sublime.

Barrydale to Montagu. Lovely ride.

From Knysna to Barrydale. 3 days in. 3 days to CT. Weather dependent. Some nice rides out there. Scenery is top notch with all the rains we have had.

All 7 passes. Brilliant day.
