Not as fast downhill quite obvious but I love my bike. I wouldn't change it for love nor money. Do it. In my opinion a great decision. And a lot cheaper to run.

You did not insure cash so in my books they should never pay cash. It opens it up to too much insurance fraud. They should replace like for like. But that is my thinking. Insurance is such an interesting thing. It is a huge industry with the bosses making disgusting amounts of money. During covid when they probably had to pay out one tenth of their normal claims no one got any reprieve that I know of. Negative maybe. But real I think so. So interested to hear what Riccardo says.

The only issue is that the power saddle has like a plastic brace which if broken when we pull it apart will render the saddle useless. Then I will be up *** Street 🙈😅

Start in Stellies. Much much easier to go from a big town to the smaller towns you will be passing. Less anxiety and stress. You will learn more and find it much easier. Talk to the locals for info. At least 60% of my information comes from locals. I mean rhe people in the town you are in. I have friends in Knysna who may be able to warm showers you for a night. 2.35 is probably the most common. They should serve you well. Put them on a week before and run them in. Definitely do not fit them the day before.
