  1. i-drive that aint the point!!! Airlines continually loose bags' date=' break stuff, damage items...the list goes on! Don't be all p.c. about the problem!! Airlines stuff things up, seesm the have even been able to bugger a bike up in a bike bag [/quote'] Take the time to actually read what he said, he isn't being PC. It's a fact the airline don't loose bags, break 'stuff' or damage items since the baggage handling is handled by either the airport or contracted staff. So the point would be to lay the complaint at the actual company operating the airport, even though 1Time or whichever airline will process a claim on your behalf.
  2. Good thing he wasn't in the North of Joburg! Always amazes how people dump their *** on an empty site, and most likely go home and complain about those townships whilst having a beer and braai!
  3. Flown many times with both 1time and Kulula, never had an issue. Where there have been problems though, such as delays and baggage issues they have been quick to resolve the problem. Mango I refuse point blank, for the reasons Intern gave above and the service attitude carries over from SAA.
  4. Would you like one or two barrels with that?
  5. This has turned into a complete persecution now, that much is clear. Porky, Greg Till and the Lems haven't been in CSA for 10 years, although it could be argued that they have ten years of crap to sort out. Of which they are overall doing a good job, despite the licencing fiasco. Like jmaccelari stated, they are implementing systems where none existed and from a zero base. There will be stuff ups, some bigger than others clearly, this is the mark of any organisation that is being overhauled.
  6. Ah ok, with the quotation marks I thought they'd literally told you to eff off. Still, can understand your feeling though. Had a similar incident, albeit not with CC.
  7. Roag is a collective of the race organisers themselves, mainly in KZN. The benefit comes in at better organised start lines. Win win for everyone.
  8. Jmaccelari; You;re serious, you were told to "F**** off" ? Just like that, in those words? Crazy, not to mention completely unacceptable!
  9. Another video link with zoomed in footage, still low res unfortunately. Yet for me the action and motions are clear - danger dassie2009-04-20 07:15:33
  10. Keep dreaming !! My new best friend!
  11. ... a bearded stylist! Have one or two MUAs that I've worked with before, shall see what they say!
  12. Now thats styling, and lots of chrome....
  13. What, and steal HR's thunder?.... opt for electric purple, goes with gold and it'll start a whole new trend.
  14. Yeah very cool, spoke to him ages ago about the trails there. Quite keen for a revisit actually!
  15. Damn... boven had been my secret for many years, Boven is a climbing mecca as well thanks mostly to Gustav from Roc 'n Rope. Always took my bike with me when we went climbing there.
  16. Didn't conform to federal safety standard, Cannondale don't have any other choice but to issue a recall. If they didn't and someone crashes, they could then open a civil claim against Cannondale. Even if it had nothing to do with the disc, and in USof A this more than a possibility.
  17. I've met with senior members of companys in a coffee shop, two of my clients who are CEOs have regular meetings in a coffee shop. It depends on the meeting as well. There ARE succesful companies at both ends of the spectrum. Yet this isn't a discussion on the intricacies of varying work enviroments and cultures. Personly I don't care which practice or working culture CSA subscribes to, as long as they tackle the issues at hand. Which right now is debatable, especially the licence system, although overall in the long term it should be a good thing. I believe they are implementing some good changes and I wish them well at a thankless task amongst some mind boggling politics, which in itself brings about many delays.
  18. Put pressure on CSA for what? Contact the broadcasters rather, perhaps more requests directly from the public would display the demand for that kind of content. Sean sent press releases to just about every media group around, unfortunately it seems that mainstream media can't or wont see past rugby, cricket and soccer. At least the The Witness had a front page article and photo followed with a double page feature on pages 4 and 5. Thats some serious coverage space, if only a few others had followed through with even a quarter of that.
  19. Hog, that was the one you were wheeling out of Mike's Bikes?
  20. A number of vocations actually. Great, but different companys in different industrys work differently so the comparison is irrelavent. BTW I've worked with a number of global companys as well, although I don't see where this bears any relavence to the topic, yeah? Seeing Lem in a coffee is really going of tangent here and seems to be taken way out of proportion. It's just so so, ambigous. I'm affected with the licence issue as well and the are definately questions that need answering, naturally I'd expect CSA to respond. I don't however wish to part of a lynch mob.
  21. With WiFi, plenty people do a lot of work out of a coffee shop. The office mentality is outdated for most jobs these days.
