  1. 38mm on the older Diverge, 40mm Max depending on tread/tyre profile and rim. The newer Diverge bikes are quite a step up, if you can find a Crux that would be a fine consideration as well. Bit more of a racy geometry. If that’s your cheese.
  2. It can work nicely with what you’ve described, a few people around who do this. 33mm tyres are the max clearance. Wait for the Crux if you’re after something more racy than the Diverge.
  3. Cheers, the sticker is very much a lucky rabbits foot kind of thing. All in on the photos etc, however the bike has been standing and I'm loath to start it without a good check, so now getting it properly polished and moved for photos etc is more time which is money, that Im already juggling. It's clean, has up to date clear images and info. It will have to do for now.
  4. Despite some of the puerile trolling of your post. It's good that you take the time to objectively point out the issues that came about. It's the kind of feedback that's important in a discussion that needs to be had and action that needs to be taken. Just ignore the idiots on either side of the fence.

  6. So much for that then .... 🙄 I still one around where I live. I'm almost certain I heard of another brand starting up here. Here: Parkhurst - https://etronelectric.com/models/ Google actually seems to throw up a few more local options. With the above, pricing is 15-90k https://amonet.co.za/product/1500w-2000w-motor-citycoco-electric-motorcycle-fat-tire-electric-scooter-city-coco/?attribute_color=White&sfdr_ptcid=22495_617_685720974&sfdr_hash=d2fff5d008500b949f9af18ccdc46ddb&gclid=CjwKCAjwkYGVBhArEiwA4sZLuAm0js4T5BbKMyEjtq5mSUJuitOnM5V07YYBpJkfYCGO2QFOmx_RIRoCfxYQAvD_BwE https://www.kollter.co.za/
  7. Only know of Zero bikes, think there may be one other but I'm not sure. Considering the rising costs of transport I'd hope and imagine that the options start to open up. What I do know is that I'd get an e-motorbike/scooter before looking at an EV car or recreational e-bike.
  8. E motorbike/scooter. 👍
  9. From the same CSA press release there’s a link to the UCI statement on gravel as a discipline - “The UCI has chosen not to make the regulations too strict in the first years, allowing participants to compete on any type of bike without electrical assistance (gravel, cyclo-cross, road, mountain bike, …). This will be evaluated in the upcoming years.” https://www.uci.org/pressrelease/the-uci-launches-worldwide-series-of-gravel-events/6nXXXY2SoWbc5rKLnjmQW5#:~:text=The 2022 UCI Gravel World,Italy%2C the Netherlands and Spain.
  10. I don't have to explain it to you. Besides, thats essentially been asked and answered already on the last couple of pages. You obviously are adamant on your stance, which is fine, but others can also not agree.
  11. Given what you've mentioned and the pricing, worth it to go for the carbon version of the Switch with a decent wheelset.
  12. Here I am -> linky
  13. Don't agree. Gravel bikes could start in their own group as per sanctioning or whatever. But to restrict participation is a bit backward methinks, moving away from the entire spirit of cycling.
  14. Taiwan, their own mould. The design and development team (Forge) is in Durbanville. Lead/head designer actually worked for Pyga for some time and was based in the Csixx offices.
  15. Constantly on and off with holding onto my bike. ATM it's just not feasible with everything else going on and if I'm honest with myself, overkill for where I am now. So after the speech, heres a for sale link for those interested to take a look and/or pass around - https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/429548962432572/
  16. Don't you know. Every, single, age grouper, in, every, single, group, ride.
  17. Was wondering about that, if it were part him living and learning a new language like Spanish and/or Italian. Either way, whatever. I'm just really happy for him, must be hugely encouraging and satisfying for him.
  18. Would venture that those kinds of resources would require various court orders and federal intervention, such as the FBI. Which would come into effect now that she's crossed state lines. ??
  19. There are a LOT of absolutes in there based on broad generalizations and references that have no basis.
  20. Maybe, or maybe its just as straightforward as the current facts point out. Normal challenges of life that for the most part people go through, until something snaps or theres a moment of madness/weakness. Regardless it's fkn tragic for everyone who has been touched. From friends to family and even brief aqquantances. I can't help but feel sad as this story unfolds.
  21. Your heart should telling you to take both. Cough
  22. Sauntered you say. Fancy.
  23. Nope, returned to SA for the SA Marathon MTB champs in Karkloof this past weekend.
  24. I don't think of it as woke at all. In the same way that I don't consider it shocking. Genuinely found it a pretty odd description. Threads normally meander by page six anyway.
  25. Problems, none really, sets the standard for a workhorse groupset. Just make sure to take the time to have it indexed and set properly, a bit of blue loctite or thread tape will sort out any bolt play issues. Also take the time to swap out/rotate chains every once in a while. It'll prolong the lifespan, holds true for any drivetrain really. My only real issue was that I really really preferred the functionality and ergonomics of XT shifter units.
