  1. Day license will do per event. But if you do more than 3 it will pay you to go the R75 option or more than 5 events if you stay in Gauteng.
  2. Yes. you need to join a club. Your club may have included the CSA and CGC application\ affiliation costs(if you are in Gauteng) in the club mempership fees. If not you will need to pay them seperatly.
  3. Talking MTB here as i know nothing of Road. If you pay to join a club they will most likley pay the R75 CSA fee and CGC R75. If not you will need to pay those. The race license is only for racing Nationals and UCI / international events.
  4. You can now afford to enter Sani2C again. Not Sanctioned and they don't care! Funny how they have so many riders riding the event that are not CSA menbers (not licensed) because heaven forbid they enter a not sanctioned event with a CSA license!
  5. Ahhh some additional confirmation. Thought I was doubting myself there for a while while someone was applying ice to my forehead.
  6. The Argus entry paid CSA. As you are in Gauteng(I presume). I doubt they paid the affilication to each province (CGC). I guess you need to pay R75 to them too else the province will not issue your license. So as a Sanctioned event the Argus is covered they have paid CSA but you will prop not get your license as your province will reject it as they want their R75. That said, you will most likley be allowed to ride the Argus. Just your license card will never pitch. Please correct me if I'm wrong here....
  7. Ok enough...... I'm off to buy my CSA license.....
  8. So on a Cyclosport license or the "CSA member" you can not compete at national Championships. Like MTN National series. Members cannot partake in any events not sanctioned by CSA.
  9. http://www.cyclingsa.com/App_Resources/Uploads/FILE00000121.pdf Found this Guide to licensing for 2010. I would imagine the process is exacly the same for 2011 except Myrace is gone and application is done via CSA website from 1st Nov.
  10. They clearly don't make that public knowledge! on their TB for Jan - Aug 2010 they payed out R39365.33 Insurace (which may not even be medical). Medical payouts should be in their TB and this amount for 8 month is not very high. Either their no-one got hurt They keep the medical ensurace very low key or they don't pay out
  11. Does anyone know why Sani2C is not a Sanctioned event? As no License is required to do the event. Do they just pay over a lumpsum to CSA or is it due to them being involved with charity and the community? Oh, hang on 94.7 is also a charity drive.......
  12. New rumours? lets have them i'm already over the edge.
  13. Dude you'r making we sweaty and i'm having blured vision!
  14. Thats All I ask of an event...
  15. Works like that for Motocross so I would imagine it works be similar to cycling (else why have the sanctions?). If I a MSA license holder enter a non MSA sanctioned event, I can be fined, License suspended, refused entry into an international event in the future.
  16. I have no problem in paying the R75 or R150 or whatever. I just want to know what I as an average joe MTB'r gets for my membership / affiliation? Also the licensing process is a circus and has many flaws.
  17. The problem I think comes in with the CSA Sanctioning. If your event is not Sanctioned and a CSA license holder rides your event there can be repercusions for the rider (what I am not exacly sure as i only know the drama with motorsport.(MSA)). So if the event wants to pull higher profile licensed riders without the riders being penalised they need to be sanctioned by CSA.
  18. Have also stopped riding that event for the exact same reason. Have plenty T shirts to last.
  19. Me also thinks that this confusion is also the reason many cyclists have not recieved their Licenses after applying. The CGC payment bucket was skipped and CSA did not aprove their license. Or the club failed to pay CGC and only joined CSA and never recieved the licenses (not a hard thing to do)!
  20. Sorry I got my GCA, CGA, CGC confused! Wonder why.... CGC = Central Gauteng Cycling If you live in Gauteng you need to pay CGC. No matter where you reside you need to pay CSA to do anything. The club you join may incorporate the CSA and CGC fees if they are payable depending on the province (CGC).
  21. Ok, So PPA is just paying over your R75 CSA membership fee as part of their joining / membership renewal fee (no need for GSA circus affiliation as PPA is in WProvince) If I join Roag, I pay no joining fee to them but need to pay CSA R75 (contribution to the circus) This is only if i reside outside of Gauteng. If I join Roag and I reside in Gauteng, I need to pay R75 to CSA and R75 to CGC (as i need to be affiliated to the circus area, as earn more moola in GP).
  22. Was this for 2010? What about 2011? So PPA are affiliated to CSA? So only Gauteng clubs need to be affiliated to GSA? No mention of all the hidden "must be affiliated to GSA" on CSA website. Boswell / Wilkie cycling affiliation now selling for 2011? Would seem that PPA, CSA, GCA, Myrace etc etc etc make life really easy for everyone.
  23. Formicating in my pants?
  24. Ambiguity is bliss (just for you BM) in regards to CSA. So if I join ROAG. Live in KZN and ride MTB average joe races I am in for R75?
