  1. Is this all to do with the Hub melting or the balance bangle??? So which is it?
  2. You can also try the following: Smear some sealant along the beads of both sites of the tyre. Mount the tyre and pull the sidewalls out away from each other at the same time, as if trying to seat the tyre without using air. You will some times hear a click/pop sound as the bead pops into the rim side wall. Try this all the may round as best possible. This tends to give the tyre a bit of a pre "seat" and less air escapes when trying to inflate for the firts time. Give the tyre a blast with the compressor. If you have a removable core take it out to add extra air to the inflation. Also push down compressing the tyre flat against the the rim by the valve.

  4. Hi All A question on Disk brake pads. What are the differences between the types of material used? This is worse than shopping for bread at Woolworths! Metal Semi - Metalic Resin Sintered Ceramic Organic Breaking power? Heat buildup? Wear?
  5. If your HR is not unusually elevated during effort, then you are good to go. But start off slow.
  6. The route is quite good when dry! I rode the route yesterday including the sections closed off due to mud etc. And I see why they cut some sections, they are unridable! So not much they could do. I see they even left the spar and repril gel banners there for the homless. So a thought might be to move the event to a date out of the rainy season if possible. But as the MTB event is just a opening act for the Road race I'm not holding my breath.....TNOSE_E2010-02-10 04:06:12
