  1. there are some really nice bikes out there!
  2. LOL ... I've since added another cage. Took the pics just after I got the bike.
  3. My steed for the ride ...
  4. Also my first time in the mayhem BUT ... I've decided packing a bike into a box for shipping is no fun!
  5. I've done the conversion on my Giant Anthem 29er - used the Joe's kit, including the rubber rim strips (over the original green one) with the built in valve. I've got Crossmarks and had to use a bomb to seat the tyre the first time (with the valve core removed and LOTS of soapy water).
  6. WOW! That is a sweet ride Hope you have many happy km's!
  7. I've done this conversion with Maxxis Crossmarks - no problems once you get the knack! I found the only way I could inflate the tyre was with a bomb, but the valve core must be unscrewed and left out! It's the only way you get enough air into the tyre quickly enough. Also try it without the sealant to see if you can do it first, otherwise you're just going to waste a lot of sealant as it all leaks out the sides of the tyre. Eventually when you get it inflated, you may not have enough sealant left and would have to start all over ..

  9. When I collected my new TCR, I didn't want to leave it on the car (bike rack), so I brought it into the office. The boss comes past a little later and says "woooo, that looks nice" and promptly climbs onto it!
  10. I tried a couple of things, all of which helped incrementally. I found I was getting hot foot from pressure on the ball of my foot as well as a slightly too tight shoe. 1. Try re-positioning the cleat - my left cleat is almost a full cm further back than my right! This relieved some of the pressure on the ball of my foot. 2. Wear thinner socks - I used to ride with Falke Hidden Cool socks which are fairly thick. I switched to thinner ones which made the shoes less restrictive. 3. Try loosening the straps slightly. Not too scientific, but worked for me
