  1. are they serious? I have seen folding bikes that looks better than this!
  2. Brawler, Ideally make me an offer. I'd say R5500... I'm sure someone would take the suntour off you. I have ridden the fork like I ride my Argyle and comparitively I don't have a bad word to say about it. Suntour had stepped it up from their older offerings.
  3. haha, sorry I forgot that price is still on there, that's what the bikeshop is asking for it on the floor. I have changed it now and I am negotiable. The stp on the other hand is not a bad bike! I prefer steel on jump bikes for the look and feel, but that's just me. Hope you come right!
  4. Hey Brawler, I am selling a GT ruckus UF steel that I brought in from the UK. Its in great nic. Only reason I am selling is because I already have a DJ rig here and could not get it over my heart to leave my bike in London. Its a great setup and a really great little bike. The bike is standing at a bikeshop in Paarl, if you want it I can collect it from them. PM me if you are interested, I'll send some pics etc over. Here's my old ad: https://www.bikehub.co.za/forum_posts.asp?TID=54222&KW=ruckus&PN=3 nox11112009-10-16 02:41:06
  5. Awesome! about time for a good secondhand shop to come around!
  6. Danny is ridiculously good! Mad skill! TiBones, well for BMX you get hubs with freewheels that can free backwards when you keep your legs still and will only engage once you pedal forward a quarter or half turn. The pedaling backwards though...it's just momentum and he keeps pedaling backwards to keep rolling backwards, if he was to stop he would stop moving. You can also by the speed at which you pedal backwards, basically reverse wheelie...your bike climbs in the air because you have momentum going one way and the pedal not moving back at the same speed.
  7. Sheesh, that's not on imho! I really dislike that they just pretend its your LBS. Get them! They need to sort this out!
  8. aaarggghh, unlucky, my folks stay in Ceres, but I'm in London at the time. Enjoy!
  9. Good pics! Awesome bridge vibes!
  10. I'm going with the Beach boys - Kokomo... The rhythm of the steel drum band.
  11. I like tioga tyres, but what Azonic says is true, you need to say what model you like or at least what you want to use it for...
  12. I know everybody is feeling the pinch, but half bicycles?!

  16. I'm a bit more tech...step down 3-0's, abubaca's, foofanoo's, looong manuals, footjams etc...just having fun on my bike. I'm not big on huge drops, my knees are a little bust from hits. Do you ride?
  17. that's my xc bike...haha no, street I ride on my dk xenia, argyle 318's etc. Today, I wouldn't be able to answer my phone without stumbling over my words! Must be all the coffee!
  18. Yes, urban riding. Thanks
  19. Does anyone still ride street MTB. Not purely trials... I am super amped to ride and need some guys to join. Cape Town, Paarl or Stellies!
  20. Maybe I am climbing in a bit late here... Horses are cool and all, but they scare easily and their owners and riders are obviously aware of this. If this is the case, and I sincerely hope it is (otherwise horse owners and riders pm me...I have some news for you), I don't see why they would risk riding in a single track where mountain bikers come flying down all day long. I am not saying we are reckless, just that when you are cycling and gunning down a trail, normally you are going quite fast and coming to a dead halt is not the easiest, quickest or most noiseless thing, so even if you were to spot someone on a horse and brake in time, there is still a chance that the horse will be scared and freak out...
  21. Too many cons I suspect!
  22. Whatever! I wouldnt have a decent bike if it wasn't for online bikeshops! Shoutouts to chainreactioncycles.
  23. Hey has anyone had a run in with the sscycles crew? They/him was selling forks and things online, but never delivers the goods. You pay online as you do before you receive the stuff, but then this guy Steve Wilsenach just keeps on dishing out stories on why he cant get you your stuff in good time, untill he eventually stops answering calls... Now his website went bust and he was blacklisted from bid or buy and his mail adds went bust too... The clown owes me an Argyle 318 and my mate a top of the line Revelation! aaaargh! Anybody in Johies in he mood to make a few bucks and go collect?
