  1. If I can name one draw-back of mtb, it's that often the girls are a bit afraid of the more technical and hardcore trails.... leaving us to make a lot of boys-only trips...
  2. dfm1, if you don't get a adrenalin rush while mtb'ing, you're doing the wrong trails boet!
  3. I enjoy mtb more, but then again, when I do road I go with my mtb!! So, I would agree with both, because as soon as financially possible I am getting a road bike too!!
  4. Hey guys! Just wondering what mtb tyres you guys use? I'm fairly new to mtb'ing, my first descent bike now, and have a set of Kenda Karma (tubeless) fitted. Must say I'm happy, but then again, I don't have a reference point!! J

  6. Hi guys and gals! I'm a newbie regarding heart rate training and racing. When doing a race, is there an ideal heart rate to try and maintain? Does this differ for road and mtb? Please advise! Thanx!

  8. Also check out Schwinn. The 2008 Moab disc has some serious specs for a R7000 bike! SRAM x.7 front, x.9 rear, Avid Juicy 3 disc brakes, Rock shox tora (Great shock!!) Got it December, and on cloud 9!!! J

  14. Hey guys! I am thinking of getting a bike rack. Money is an issue, and with my car not having a tow bar, I am considering a strap on. Would you advise me against this? One of my cycling buddies said he'd rather take the bike apart each time! Is strap on bike racks really so unreliable? Thanx! J

  16. I looked in the same budget range, and found that the Schwinn Moab 2008 disc, has extremely good specs for a R7k bike! SRAM x.7 and x.9 deraileurs, juicy 3 discs and rock shox tora. I'm getting mine soon! J
