Having read all of this thread, I'm wondering if there is a point to it. For your benefit, my ' female' perspective is that I believe you have to live your life to the fullest, and no one should try and persuade you otherwise. All you can do is take the best possible care.fiasm2008-06-02 02:32:55

  15. they are definately still available. I saw some recently in a store and just now on Ebay-DeMarchi was the brand
  16. Racechick, I've never ridden a womens specific bike. There are plenty of bikes on the market that are very comfortable. I have long legs and short body, which is quite typical for women, and ride a bike with a sloping top bar. Go to a good store and see someone who can set a bike up properly for you. It really is a matter of trying out different frame types and seeing what best suits you. I will definately recommend a Selle Italia Gel saddle for women, though!fiasm2008-05-16 05:35:15
  17. he's lovely, congratulations! ( I thought I was going to see a picture of a bike as hubbers have a habit of calling them baby!!)
  18. great bike. I like the bikes in the background also.
  19. [quote=linnega I didn't hear if the cyclists got the plate numbers of the grey sedan. Surely there are enough witnesses to press charges of reckless driving and assault with a deadly weapon? yes, they did get the license plate and car description. the driver has been interviewed and will face charges, no doubt. The b%$#ard swerved into the large bunch a couple of times, changed lanes in front of them and then hit the brakes, sending them in all directions. fiasm2008-05-09 00:11:00
  20. Yes. Don't let the Aussies tell you otherwise. you're right, linnega. only it's worse! one bite out of a sandwich and I guarantee you'll send it back! only if you've been force fed it as a child can you appreciate it now! PB, go easy on the tim-tams, they are lethal. ps. will keep you informed on the accident yesterday...
  21. how about I just forward some spam to you!! you can have it plus the notifications of all the lotteries I've won!
