  1. Nobody showed any fingers, in fact, we waved for them as we passed and smile.... cause the wind was blowing very hard as well and they suffered a lot....
  2. See, I knew there are still gentleman on the hub... Thanx for the vote guys about the name calling.... And my post was a mere observation from a drivers side, if one of the cyclist were hit it was the stupid's drivers fault...
  3. What sort of asshole posts like this? A Fellow cyclist trying to teach her children road safety regarding cycling !!!!! Who is in a hurry at 730 am on a sunday morning. Did I mention a time? No, it was during the day and if you were from Western Cape you would have known that is a pretty busy road as it is part of the wine route!!!! cars own the road monday to friday.... cyclist sat and sunday... where is your patience? riding in single file is NO fun anyways It is idiots like you that give cycling a bad name read rules of the road.... pedestrians have right over cyclists, cyclists over cars cars over lorries.... 4. To the bunch of cyclist doing a ride Sunday 8 June on the Baden Powell road between Stellenbosch and the N2. I just want to say, if one of you were hit by a car it would have been your own fault. I had to overtake the bunch on the right hand side of the road as you think you are too important to cycle in a single line as you are supposed to do !!! What a great example you have shown to my kids HOW NOT TO CYCLE ON A BUSY ROAD!!!
Sal netnou pics opsit.... Hoe gaan dit met jou en MTB?

  7. Sorry to hear that. Send him my best wishes if you get to see him...
  8. Shame, should we start a fund on the hub so you can go buy yourself a sense of humour...? My post was a joke directed at poisin ivy's post about somebody yawning at something she wrote... Stop being so sensetive... Sure, dedicate it to your upbrining in manners and language use!!!
  9. Point made!!!! Seems like I will be leaving this forum for a later stage when the new Hubbers have grown up!!!! To all those who i have made friends with, please feel free to contact me on magdelatacuttsdotcodotza Otherwise see ya at the funrides in the spring!!! Cheerio
  10. Guys, not cranky, just sick and tired of all this.... It really is not pleasant any more to visit the hub
  11. That is that !!! I just cannot take this anymore. At work everyone Bitch and moan, then you "escape" to the hub for relaxing conversations and laughs from cycling to anything else under the sun. Just to relax... But nooo, why will you be given that change. Instead each and every topic these days is bitch and moaning... about childish stuff, "I don't like your avatar" "I am offended about your signature" "I don't like what you say" HEY !!!!!!! Grow up !!!! We are all Adults here with a few children, but I take it older than 10 years....hopefully they in school at this moment!! You all sound terrible. I used to get an upcheer from the hub, now I am scared to give my opinion, hell, I don't even feel like to be part of this any more.... Yeah, I know the argument only read what you want and nobody force you to be here, but that is just it, nobody has been forced to be here. If you don't like it, Leave.. simple as that... Stop making waves and see where you can start trouble. Those who keep stirring, I hope you know you spoil the whole idea of open converstaion with fellow cyclist rotten.... Take all the moaning and bitching energy and put it to something good. How many of you moaners have contibuted to any funding taking place currently on the hub for good, honest reasons? Only when you can answer positive on this question, I think you have the right to start complaining about others....... No grow up!!!
  12. Coetzee' date=' I know things are a bit hectic at the moment, but maybe we can ask our club "bankman" to set up a bank account. I'd love to run with a campaign to raise funds as soon as we have a bank account nr. I'll try and get as much interest as possible in order to raise some much needed funds. We can have donation-list set up on the Hub as well. And I'll also do the bake/sell/slice thing as Slowpoke said. Please let me know what you think? Nothing is impossible !! [/quote'] Poisyn Ivy - I am willing to help you in this matter as well if you need assistance... M Rookie1012008-05-23 01:11:37

  16. After reading all these answer and replies yesterday and today I feel this sadness and uncertainty in my heart. My sister phoned and told me she is leaving for Dubai, work related and to look for a job for her husband. They have 2 kids, still in primary school. And I think to myself, if I also leave now, I leave my mom and her new found love (after 5 years of being a widow, he is like a dad to me now). I cannot do that.... She is 64, very young 64 I must say. But then on the other hand I asked my hubby what he think about leaving the country and he is just as uncertain, scared and think about the new life and if the kids will cope in a new country.... I am so confused, tears running..... I now it is everybodies own decision, it may be better but it may be worse as well. I don't know if I am prepared to pack up, leave everything and then need to return after a few years / months realising it doesn't work. The only place I have ever been was here, for my whole 32 years, I don't know how it is out there, not what we see on the news, internet, papers, blah, blah.... but how is it REALLY out there??? Saffa, it really is a tough one, and one must think carefully and weigh all your options. But I believe nothing is put on your road if you are not ready to handle it. So, I will respect your decision - and all the other - whatever it may be, even if I don't know you personally. I can just say the best for you if you leave and the best to you if you stay... We all hope we make the right decisions in life and we don't if we did until we have made that decision.... "Now I feel a bit better, tears wiped off, spoken my heart, and maybe I will also look in to it someday to leave, I don't know, depends on the future..."
