  1. I agree. I just found it strange that being used to riding motorbikes, I would be more comfortable with my MTB setup the opposite - always interesting to hear other peoples opinions.
  2. So normal bike setup is left for the front, and right for the rear. Now I have ridden motor bikes for most of my life so I swapped mine around, but after a while I changed them back to normal, and actually prefer it this way. Now, it would be interesting to know, what is your brake setup? Normal, or motorbike style?
  3. I think trail runners should stick to the running/hiking trails, and mtb'ers to the mtb trails, because if not sooner or later someone's gonna gets hurt. Mtb'ers know which trails they can and can't ride (most of them anyway) so I think trail runners should do the same.
  4. I cant feel much difference with it on or off, but I can definitely see that it eliminates most of the pedal bob that is there when its off - so it does work.
  5. I got the Buzz rack from sportsmans warehouse, cost me R900 at the time. Good quality and easy to fit. can fit it to a hatch or sedan
  6. Nice Bike, good luck with the sale
  7. Not gonna be able to make it this Sun, got proir arrangements. But next Sun if youre riding there again I'm sure I can make a plan
  8. Pity I have to work in the week, but I will keep that in mind for when I am on leave
  9. Not familiar with the DS line, how would I find it?
  10. Where is this alberts farm park, and Melville koppies? directions or co-ords will be appreciated.
  11. Not too familiar with the spruit, how do you get there? would be cool to join you to learn the good lines
  12. onion hill is a bitch to get up, doing it 10 times would kill me. lol it is the best part of groenies though.
  13. Do it yourself, its really easy. Trickiest part is lining up the calipers, but theres hordes of you tube vids showing you how to do it.
  14. Can anyone recommend riding spots around pta/jhb that offers some good AM style riding? Most places i know of are good for xc style riding, but I'm looking for something with some nice downhill runs.
  15. TBH I bought the Joplin before I actually googled reviews on it, it was such a good price I just snapped it up, only after I bought it did I see all the crap reviews on it. All I can do now is hope mine holds out better than most. Problem is, now that I've experienced the joys of a dropper I dont want to have to go back to a standard post, so when this one goes I'm gonna have to fork out proper money for a decent one
  16. Damn dude! are they really that crap? Oh well, mines held up so far, lets hope I get some decent use out of it before it decides to k@k
  17. I bought my joplin on special for R500 from CWC. I thought it was worth it considering it was cheaper than a normal seatpost. Hasnt given me any problems so far (holding thumbs) but if it does I'll just chuck it and invest in something more reliable..
  18. I will always offer assistance if I see someone on the side of the trail. Most MTB'ers that pass me if I happen to be doing repairs also ask if everythings ok. Your wife and friend need to come ride at groenkloof, seems the folks are far more friendly there
  19. At the Skate Park iPhone4s and some snapseed manipulation
  20. I dont think you gonna find a bicycle specific FF helmet for a 4yr old, so youll have to go MX. I think just about any FF helmet is heavy for a young child, but airoh helmets as wayne mentioned are about the lightest, but also not cheap. I got full finger gloves for my little one (4yrs) at sportsmans warehouse, maybe try there.
  21. http://www.pinkbike....lat-Pedals.html All the flats guys, have you read this article? Interesting read. I guess it boils down to personal preference, but in a lot of situations it seems like being clipped in makes sense
  22. Very Nice Glad to see you put the seat down for the pic
