Vittoria Rubino Pro's are quite nice. You can go lighter with Diamante Pro's / Pro Light.

Was given an insulated waterbottle from Due south as prezzie...they dont work. Freeze your bottles over night. Take them out when you leave for the race (dont forget!). When you take your 1st sip in the race it's super cooled juice. Should last an hour to hour & a half, depending how late/early you start. Also used to ride with gel icepak in my camebak, but i don't like any weight on the shoulders and stopped doing that.

About a month ago I was at the Dischem in retail crossing (cnr. hendrik potgieter & paul kruger) and they only had a few of those crazy kiwi gels. Cyclelab fourways had nothing. It's one thing to stock a small brand and the stock don't move and another if you stock a small brand but the stock flies off the shelf. I hope Dischem have realised what has become of the Wasp brand in such a short time..

It irritates me that most manufacturers have gone the carbon route. I suppose they respond to what the market wants. Difficult to find decent alu specced bikes (105/Ultegra and up), except maybe for raleighs RC6000A/RC6500A/RC7000A. Yes carbon is sexy and racy but I can't justify the price of a complete decent specced bike or frame alone...

sorry, i'm new to this seeding (cycling as well) thing so please don't flame me for this question...i can understand it if some guys realize half way through the race they over estimated their fitness or are ill etc etc..but did they have no choice but to go over the timing mats? Or could they've gotten off their bikes and walk around the mats? What was the setup at the finish line?

can someone explain where lower-class end and middle-class begins? Salary wise. I recall something that when they introcuded the new credit act last year that above R20K a month is seen as high income. Middle Income I think is between R200K and 400K a year. Tax tables should help with that..
