I have a Nabraska and really pleased with it..Juicy 3 are great and i reckon at least on the Deore level of components. M485 is step below deore. Tora302 (100mm travel) is also coil coil sprung but way better than Dart 2 with only 80mm travel.

Also look at merida road race series: 905-com (Ultegra groupo) +-R11,500 ; 904-com (105 groupo) +-R9,500

I really like the all alu CAAD9 5, but the price tag of R14k is steep..

Kan nie n bmw wees nie...Waars die 17duim low profiles en dropped suspension, daai fiets staan heeltemal te hoog.

Dis omdat almal maak soos hulle wil dat dinge gaan in SA soos dit gaan. Taxis/karre war rooiligte skip rub aan ander padgebruikers af. As ander mense 'n f*k kan voel en doen wat hulle wil, dan kan ek ook mos doen net wat ek wil..Ek bly in n kompleks en elke idioot het n quadbike. Hulle start en tune die goed voor my voordeur en 'n moerse lawaai, my ore kan dit nie vat nie en my huis ruik na 2 stroke oil..este van als is hulle sleep nie hulle quadbikes met trailers na die naaste veld nie...nee ons ry hom sommer op die pad, geen flickers, geen ligte en plate..Dis onwettig aangesien die quads nie padwaardig is nie..Beste van als is hulle lift hulle klein kinders in die strate waar ander heavy verkeer ry.. Classic example van net nog f*k almal ek sal doen wat ek wil...

Hi Danie I have a Nabraska and so far I'm really happy with it, I have nothing bad to say about the bike and is really a awesome ride. Tora is a good shock and the Avid Juicy3 hydraulics provide featherlight, powerful stopping performance. Weirwolf 2.1" tires really provide excellent grip on dirt, but rolling resistance on tar is high. But then you don't buy a mtb for the road... The GT 1.0 was on my list as well but the Tora is way better than the Suntour fork. I reckon the Silverback provides the best value for money. Besides I got mine with a 12% discount so there was nothing else price wise coming close to it.

so which is better bike, bike with 6061 or 7005?

Hi I'm newbie to mtbiking and the Silverback seems to offer better value for money component wise, compared to the likes of merida,gt,scott,trek etc.. Anyone knows how good the dakota/nabraska/sierra is compared to other bikes in this price range of R5775 - R8850? thx
