  1. Thanks man... Ya, nice pic of an Arial Atom (ultimate sunday car)
  2. Does anyone know where i can get a phot of the "A bunch" sprint finish...? MyPicture has a whole load of nice pics of cars and other usefull stuff like that, but no cool pics of the finish...
  3. I am really glad you like the wheels. After a few years of someone not backing them up here in SA, we are trying our level best to get one of the top wheel brands back out there. Safe riding, with performance and style...
  4. Got a pair in black. Adidas store in world wear. Take the bayers naude off-ramp towards Cresta. First robot, world wear is on the right... Had 3 sets left when i was there... wait for it... R499... Crazy prize, for an awesome set of shoes!
  5. I apply on the skin... NB - When sharing at a race - No double dipping
  6. No question here... go and get a tub of 'Milko Balm'... Big joke really, coz it's actually designed for the teets of cows to stop chafing and infection. The best part is, on the tub it say 'for animal use only', so go ride like one. Go look in Dischem. I use our Etxeondo pants, with one of the best chamios around, and it still helps... The combination of the pant and this cream saved my ass on Epic, chairty ride to durbs (slow), and a 205km ride at 21 km/h (ouch!)...
  7. Never had a problem with Winningtime... Have had a few problems with ChampionChip though
  8. Not meaning to 'advertise' (sorry), but i got a new Suunto T3 a while ago and it changed my training completely... most importantly my recovery rides. It has a things called 'training effect' which is like a trainer. It tells you if you are improving, overtraining, etc... basically it tells you what you need to know from a HR monitor. The thing that most surprised me was how 'slow' you actually need to ride on a recovery ride... Remember, rest is as important as training... train wise, not hard
  9. Remember when your mother said 'go play in the traffic!' when you were young... now is your chance. Try jump on behind a car every now and then. CAREFUL THOUGH!! I was with a mate who tried to do it once, and he lost his chain as he stood up...
  10. I do speed work, on and off the bike... try to do it once a week if i can. Even if it's a fast ride with a few mates, with a few sprints here and there... I come from a track athletics background, and i have kept up some of the training i used to do when i was doing 400m and 200m. The thing is when you just cycle, i find you lose the 'natural springs' in your muscles. Running, gym and ply-metrics help to improve this. Running will help cycling, but not the other way round...
  11. I used maxxis LUST (think they crossmark) for Epic last year. From 2 months before at 16 hours training a week on the bike, no flats. No flats during epic either. No flats for 4 months after epic... they get 10/10 from me
  12. I read the same report on the rolling resistance with Tubular vs Clicher, and yes, clincher came out top... Apart from the weight, i ofter go riding and leave my back-up car at home, which therefore makes the clincher a more practical option what about tubeless road wheels? I now only use tubelss on the MTB. To be honest, they are great when they work (no flats), but when they don't you wish you had never spent the R540 on each tyre...
  13. The one brand missing from this is Corima... been making carbon clinchers since the 1980's. Price wise, they are under most competitors. I have the normal aero's, which are about 40mm deep. Strong and quick, i train and race on the full crbon clinchers. Very impressive... and there is a areo+ which has carbon hubs... not the lightest on the market, but given how many potholes i have hit and jumped, they are still ok...
  14. I am on the new Hollowtech FSA K-force... wouldn't change them for these
