  2. I'm off to Asia in a few weeks for the BH International Disti conference... and i will be riding one of these there. Can't wait. FSA, Shimano and other suppliers will be there to show off their new stuff, so i will take some photos to show all of you on here... Not decided when Team Medscheme will be getting theirs, wat and see...
  3. Right hubbers... here it is the first images released by BH of the next generation BH Global Concept, the G5!
  4. The BH Global Concept G5: BH d?buts the bike that will revolutionize the market The Dauphin? Liber? will be the definitive test for the BH G-5, the latest road bicycle developed by BH and soon to be officially presented at both the professional cycling and commercial levels. For the time being, it is still a prototype, but we will now be able to see the great potential of this bike, fully conceived and developed by BH at its facilities in Vitoria (Spain) and the U.S. This new model represents a radical, revolutionary leap forward in the quality and concept of road cycling frames, and will take top place in the range of bicycles made by the international manufacturer BH: a 100% carbon frame that incorporates all of the latest technical advances in road bicycle design. The ?field test? for this new prototype at the highest level of professional competition will be led by the UCI ProTour and BH-sponsored team AG2R La Mondiale, and the field itself the prestigious Dauphin? Liber?, the preview to the Tour de France, which kicked off this Sunday. The French squad will have BH?s latest creation underfoot and the opportunity to push it to the max and check out ?in situ? the spectacular evolution of the Global Concept, prior to its official premiere at the 2009 Tour de France. The cycling world?s most important event will also witness the d?but of what will surely be the most important road bicycle model of 2009. At this year?s Dauphin?, all eyes will be on Lavenu?s squad, and even more so, on the new bicycle ridden by the AG2R La Mondiale team: the new BH G5. The bicycle of the future is here and getting its d?but in one of France?s greatest events. For more information, go to: www.bhbikes.com This is a 'teaser' photo the BH sent us. Watch the Dauphin? Liber? and see if you can spot it...
  5. A lot of moola for a bike like that (it's a sprayed up mass produced kids bike after all)... esp when he will grow out of it in 6 months to a year... my 10c
  6. I couldn't get away with saying he was holding onto my shirt... could I...? LOL! I was in serious *** tht day... bad back 'n all hey. Hanco was the man though. Great rider, great team mate and i learnt a lot from him. What a tour... it's a 2010 must do for anyone. Even if you go there, give 105% and still need a little hand-up every now and then...
  7. Full D/A (Older model) with FSA K-force light crank set... It's still the berries
  8. That was an interesting read, thanks guys and gals. Don't knock the pink bottles though, we use them. It takes a real man to use pink remember... anyway, they more salmon than pink LOL!!! Now that you all got your tails up over these kind of people littering.... anyone ridden with the Elites recently?????? Words fail me... but i'll try... Rode with the sub30 elites for Vasbyt, and i have never seen that many packets and stuff thrown off to the side of the road. Goo packets, half done bars, etc... I kept looking for the bins they were all trying to hit, but never saw one. Can someone tell me if that's the norm? Back up cars behind with food and drink, and there's me with all my sh*t in my pockets (spares, car keys, cellphone, food, etc), and i can still keep a goo packet till the end...
  9. I heard a great idea while at Sani. Some of the chaps in the UK use Chain-saw lube/oil on their MTB chains in the wet, and it app. works really well...
  10. Great photos Ronelle...! Thanks Our BH TT machines looks awesome with the Corima toys...

    Bling Rules

  12. Nice photos! Happy days... The Medscheme win made my weekend
  13. Reding some of the replies, it seems i am not the only one with the 'Scottsborough dribble' Seems its down to: 1. The water (somewhere, sometime) 2. The roll at the end (non-name brand) 3. The food during the course of the time... I didn't have the Nando's, so it can't be the Peri people who saved us on day2. Come to think of it, maybe it was in the mud we all munched somewhere along the track... LOL
  14. Great race, great people, great vibe... awesome time away! Hands down some of the best mtb riding i have seen, let alone ridden... and after hearing Nick (the chap who works with farmer glen on the course and other stuff) i can just hear the passion in his voice. Great organization. Given my 12 metabolisms, it was nice to get so much food when ever i wanted... If you have not done it, do it. I will be doing this race for as long as i can.
  15. I used them on my Formula's for Sabi in the wet and they were great!!! Much cheaper than other brands i have used as well.
  16. Bad news, not a nice thing to happen. I was there this morning, and Steve was well looked after by a few riders (Andrew McLean, Kath Cronje, and some others). Lovemore was quickly on the scene to bring a blanket and take steve's bike etc... Well handled accident. Just a note though, the accident was not caused by a car this time. Although SA motorists are not the best of friends to cyclists, let's not jump in an attack them today when they were not at fault... Let's just keep up and nice messages and wish steve all the best.
  17. Speak to ronel van wyk... She will design the kit (better than any other local guys) and then have it made. ronel@red-rocket.co.za
  18. How bout: numb notchas kok 'n rib the stigs crank 'n crankier cranky bros
  19. Not sure where you got the ag2r bike pic, but it's not right... unless i am completely wrong They are on the BH Global Concpet G4 SL (Nano tech carbon model) NOTE - This is the same frame set as Team Medscheme are on.
  20. wisecrack the one race i rode against swift last year he attacked and i didnt even hear him go and by the time i realised he was gone he had already slipped into TT mode and was blitzing it 500m ahead so yes that is true (but it might also be because the road was so smooth!!!!) It's true, they don't make as much moise as other deep section carbons...
  21. Corima are hand-built from start to finish. It's hard to beat... They custom make products for the aerospace industry, so their quality and know-how is top shelf.
  22. I will find out and get back to you guys... I am not sure about the pros and cons of tubular MTB wheels.
