Its all about a chain of events..guy shouts meezo goes down with others causing obstruction Chris passes the bunch in spirit of cycling looks over to see all ok with lapse of concentration wrong side of road and has accident. Had initial accident not occurred Chris would hv been with his family today. As I said earlier it could easily been me and I'm sure 99% of other riders..so we need to show our support.

Hi guys Been following the accident particularly on Chris's progress I must say everytime I read another report on the accident it sends shivers down my spine..it could quite easily been me lying in Tht hospital bed. I suggest we show the cyclist solidarity by arranging a group ride to Constantiaberg the first Saturday he is out of icu. Also collect donations on the day. Tell all your buddies and we show our suport..any thoughts?

I too love watches as much as I do my toys. I use a tag heuer chrono aqua racer auto daily have breitling chrono for weekends..then for weddings a mon blanc classic plain whte..the a camping or outdoors knock about VIctorinox divers chrono then my rs 8000 fir gym and cycling.v

I'm also a beginner mtber been a roadie for a year bought a bike on Saturday. Every hubber will tell you they started out small and eventually went big but in the process lost more than double the money had they bought something decent in the beginning.there is a correlation between the kinda bike u buy and whether u enjoy the sport to explain if u buy cheap and nasty..riding won't be fun therefore would not understand our obsession with cycling.I'm afraid for 4k u going to get crappy old bike cmpromising your safety either brakes not sharp enough or worn front shock.. good luck.

Well done Kamikaze..you not one the sheep but question the purpose of add ons to our bike. Yes as many of esteemed gunners have stated its used in mny top mtb for racing or shoulder position etc but ultimately its about marketing and economics for the bike parts manufacturers. These many diverse shapes could double as toys for our partners to use when we experience numb nuts after along ride have their respective companies with statistical data supporting their design yet all so very different. The bottom line its marketing (the bike co make money off its existance) and us the average weekend warrior believes if its used in epic we must have it it can only enhance our ride..and for some they will swear by its benefits..classical placebo effect.
