Used PVM during the Epic - was losing so much weight during traning had to take suppliments - only seem to need them on 3 hour + rides otherwise water and an early strong good coffee will see me through

I used to cycle from Milnerton to Town before work moved. This would be fantastic if it happens - imagine cycling towards table mountain with the sea on the right, no vehicles to hit you and the sun warming your back - oh yes the southeaster might slow one down a tad.
I don't think many people understand our desire to be on our bikes and in the mountains. i remember breaking my collarbone in Tokai forest and having pins inserted. All I wanted to do was get back out there and do that same singletrack section faster - and avoiding some trees. Everyone told me I was mad except my cycling buddy - He understood. Still have those pins in a box somewhere.
oh yes - don't forget the bum cream - used Milko - got it from the local VET - it's used for milking cows - felt like I had a wet nappy on but hey, my arse survived
Hi Underachiever I completed Epic this year on 4 different pairs of shorts - seemed to work for me - just kept shifting the chaffing area's. Used an Anatonic, addidas, sponsered pair (can't remember make) and First ascent. Didn't spend more than R850 per pair
Anyone have comments on Superbru's Tour de France I know it's a work in progress but it seems to need a lot of work. Are there any other such prediction fun sites around?
