My 2 cents worth.. I have been a Raleigh Fan since my first road bike in the early 80's It was a replica of the Raleigh which a cyclist won the 1980 Tour on.. But .. since then I've gone off and back onto Raleigh.. You bunch out there that "Knock" Raleigh are in my opinion " Lost " and being ripped off nicely....... Most of the bicycles made today are made in Taiwan, in a hand full of carbon / other bicycle factories.. even some high end Italian cycles do this to save costs... Dedacciai is an Italian partner for Raleigh S.A they are situated in the small province of Cremona, just outside Milan - Italy, Dedacciai is a small company that is fuelled by passion and technology. So Raleigh was extremely proud to offer this prestigious and famous brand of tubing on our entire range of Elite Road frames for 2007. So now are you lot knocking the Italian bicycles too? I ride my Carbon RALEIGH with pride, if I were younger and faster I would do the same, Raleigh has a proud history, It has made many good memories for me. I believe Raleigh is a bicycle, for any rider of any level Raleigh is in my opinion responsible for keeping our wonderful sport alive in S.A., buy making bicycles affordable for us the masses.. A team or LTD Raleigh in Carbon, is a beautiful Synergy of South African and Italian team work.. I still love my car, but not as much as my bike.. Nothing at all wrong, with it but Work = I do aprox 50 -100thousand km each year.. Servicing a car like this , no joke... I would need to trade, it to get new car.... so my tax doesnt kill me.. Bicyle, mine carbon .. hopefully.. prices wont shoot to high, for new frames. We will have to save a bit now for the special deals coming

I still own the record in a depreciated, price toy.. MY CAR A 2005/6, (O5 model reg in 06) MG ZT190... Cost new 265k Value today worthless, cant give it away.. since colapse og MG.. Brilliant car, dsigned by BMW, Part built by BMW.. Full house.. but not worth a cent.... My bicycle, still worth, approx 65% of new price....

Deals on slow year old stock, mmm think we should start getting ready... a good year old, "New" Cervelo, ... must put some RR$$$ ASIDE... I Hope the LBS / Bigger stores come up with some exciting, innovative ways to keep us on the new, toys... always something that can be done to reduce, cost to consumer...

Just my 2 cents Am in steel Ind prices been up by almost 100%, since Jan (This is across world) Any industry using raw material / steel for production or oil = Higher prices.. and no small price increases.... Sorry Brace yourselves, for prices on all toys, being higher .. much igher..

Couch in storage with most of our suff,After affirmative shopping spree which we suffered two weeks ago , we have decieded to move into a " more" secure security complex, so in between homes til 1st May.. Heidelberg getting to be Wild, been cleaned out twice in last year.. Luckily, my bike was left.. as I could not replace her with insurance as I've added too many bits and carbon, next step is ITM Stem & bars and a set of Carbon wheels...

Hi Hubbers I see us as Cycling nuts, either MTB, Road, Freeride,Bmx.. etc I would like to think we have each other's backs.. I've learnt from this , not to jump the gun... and react, before using a Private PM.. I am hoping we can keep cycling, the main link joining us all and attract more people to our great sport.. I am grateful, for this Forum, which has helped me from MTB, into Road cycling.. I've got a really nice carbon, bike.. and although not a Cervelo or the likes with all the top carbon accessories.. I am really proud of My RALEIGH RC6000 CARBON - FULL ALTEGRA KIT and carbon Rav x Seat post , Bottles cages, and soon Carbon ITM bars.. All thanks to great trading on this Forum, and at a fraction of the Retail cost... Thanks hubbers, I 've learnt the value of this Forum....

Hi Hubbers My name is Joe I am a Gauteng reident.. since 2001.. Prior to that lived in Fishhoek I cycled off road, (Tokai every week;Silvermine challenge.. Paarl rock etc..) until 2001.. I then moved to JHB... slowed down, cycled less and less.. Bough a Free ride rig 3 years ago (GT CHUCKER 1) this I used on occasion. Last year I broke my Hand.. needed operations to rectify.. I decieded to start riding again this Feb, as I am now 40.... scary.. So bought a road rig.. a LOVED it... Signed up on The Hub... and since then have upgraded to my RC6000 Wife is a bit worried cos I am spending so much time on Hub And Bike.. oh I am a National Group Procurement Manager.. for a Steel/Hardware Group.. The whole bike is kitted in Ultegra,shifters derailers .. brakes, wheels.. which is really great, I am looking into getting some nice deep section ZIPP's ..first I am looking to get some decent tyres on my Shimano wheels... In the last two weeks i've had way too many punctures... ANY ADVICE???

Just to show that I also have a couch, here she is I snuck her into the lounge, whilst my Beautiful wife was sleeping... I will def look into those wheels, thanks

Nah, That room is for the bike, the bed is where she sleeps....

YEP, & since getting her back together on Tue.. Cant keep off, her.... rain or no rain ...... Now I must upgrade wheelset.....
