We normally get numbers on a Tuesday, But with the extended registration... I'm assuming that will cause a delay.Will that Impact day 1 of number collections? Do race organizers even follow these threads Like Gerald does to keep us in the loop?

You cant say that , people dont like you to complain about the price(lol)... We ride that route fairly often(as a club), been okay ... in spite of being narrow. Selfish drivers will always be an issue sadly

I used to do all the races ... I binge now too , in fact i best sort out registration before its closed . VERY KEEN ON RIDINGTHIS ROUTE... I know not why .

As long as all the holes are fixed and guys decend responsibly, the start should be fine, If you know you cant decend fast then stay clear ... you will catch the guys on the next two drags... potentially

3 of us were on a club ride today, Guy in a BMW almost took all of us out(sigh). At the robot i put my hand up to gesture questioningly ??? Did he take off at me , actually waited to verbally abuse me waving his fist. Sadly I @#$%$% back at him saying don't be selfish we also pay road tax(Big Mistake)!!!! dude pulled off to the side of the road and waited for me with armed with a knuckle duster (WTF). Anyway we dodged around him and left him to his Anger hoping that we would not get a surprise attack later on the ride .... damn we dont need this stress :oops:

I hope its just a phase ... enough bad publicity in cycling, we also need to take note of offenders so we can name and shame them at least (Me personally.. I will crack open your skull if you push me off the road) Did I say that out loud !!!

Gary I was shocked to be left behind on the 16km mark and i was safely tucked away out of the wind... Turns out my seatpost dropped 20mm... No Wonder the damn quads were cramping . Fixed now, Pride restored and prepping for D2D

Dont underestimate the finish now... still a lekke burn on the end

OMG... What a long Day !!! My AL start was going beautifully, sat about 12th wheel rather comfortably UNTIL !!! The 16km Mark... my legs started cramping (And Just never stopped)... Tried everything in the handbook but alas it was My Day To Suffer ... 3h57 ( Haven't ridden so slowly in a long while) . Kudos to the guys that held it together

AL for me too, been off the bike 2 weeks with bronchitus( still coughing slightly so gonna race without gym). Also doing the JHB 3am trip . I hope i'm not traveling in 1 degree weather again cos my heater is buggered(lol).
