@ Monkey .. Well done, so it turns out we were trying to bridge to the guys who were in actual fact behind us... Sighhh... hands over eyes(lol) I didnt even see everybody passing me , and i was on the side of the road several times doing pilates (stretching cramps out like a spazz) there is power in a group working together, looking forward to trying it again. Tried my best to control some of the herding and at least get the 2 bunches to join each other , Had no intention to do any pacing so early ...The race vibes was there from the get go and the wild horses did not want to hold back and wait to regroup, by the time i hit the M1 i was on target but cramping set in , from there it was several stops to rub and stretch ... I smaaked the vibe and really enjoyed the company ... limped home to a very sad 3h30 .. okay its 20 mins faster than last year but i thought i was ready to nail it. Kudos to all ... maybe next time

I think we overthinking and overstressing... My throat is also scratchy but gargle and corryx is sorting that out. We gonna be just fine and we gonna have a jol. I look forward to putting faces to hub names Plan to absorb and suck up every bit of this ride ... Cheering and clapping hands excitedly

Just a slight apology.. I was rushing us to get to witkoppen as I have the slowest time of 1h 07 mins for the last 20kms ... Forgot that I crashed last year was down 20mins panelbeating bike and bleeding body parts... A lot calmer now and a lot more eager to succeed since this means I can contribute More .

Getting very exciting, hope there will be photos of the bunch in motion . Yellow stripe on top of helmets zipping past like a pixelated line steyn city is definitely my Sore point , I will survive till there ... then I think jogging to the line with the bike on my neck should be quicker than cramping up (lol). So for me just hoping we get to witkoppen at 2h00 apposed to 2h17 (nothing wrong with dreaming and hoping) Also regarding the fast downhills, Jan smuts example: if the train stays nice and tight the momentum will pull everyone far up into the drags, making the climbs shorter and Easier : stay focused and as everyone keeps saying - Braking is bad

rode the route from jhb cbd to steyn city today.. very tired legs and post bronchitus with only 2 hours sleep... the stretch from witkoppen to steyn city entrance is 16kms and took 30 mins at snails pace(Very slow up the drags) . Just some genral info if that helps the stats and calculations... urghh, dredding steyn city (lol)

For some reason, most GP guys are too busy using us then attacking. Fortunately a couple of less selfish ones have worked together properly to the benefit of all ... i have an interesting one, guy finally decides he wants to make a purchase , then keeps me waiting a few days, then drops my price... i get tired of the run around so i accept the lowered price. Again he doesnt make the payment . a few days later he asks me to drop again... is it okay for me to just ignore his messages ? some people also ...Deep Sigh

ALL My adds clearly state to call for priority option, I don't log in 24hrs a day to check PM's and comments... so unfortunately a PM or the proverbial dibs might go unnoticed until much later . Direct communication(verbal) avoids complications and shows interest . Even when i hit the Dibs call i make sure to phone immediately . Fortunately i too have had mostly good dealings , knock on wood. The idiots for me are those that repeatedly ask the questions that are fully answered by the advert they responding too... mmmm... As far as the dibs thing goes, I totally respect it as long as it goes with proper communication and commitment. I do the same with a person I Buy from. It's Common Sense. (Seems that common sense is not so common anymore ). I'm rather keen to rate or at least comment on profiles of persons who waist my time : saying they coming to see me and then just vanish ... The wind was worse than you think... so you effectively were pushing harder than normal to maintain your ride average .. Your muscles can only take so much before popping (lactate threshold exceeded)

I rode AL, but 95 kgs(lol).I got dropped brutally so my Power data wont help you. Curious about your ftp if you dont mind sharing, mine is 262 . Do we need to move to another thread... technically we hijacking this thread(sorry d2d guys)

Apparently I needed a lot more rest after the bronchitus , so technically I rode while still sick . Thank the Lord for that last water point ... I would have needed an Ambulance

YES It WAS ME !!! :drool: ... coughing and throwing up the last 50 kms ... last 20 kms took me 90 mins. I could keep nothing down, not even plain water . Almost passed out at Tarlton so was literally nursing myself home . 10 stops later .... not a good memory for me . Lotsa guys had a good day out there in spite of the wind (KUDOS !).
