You are right, what gets me...if a car driver get involved with a taxi....other taxi drivers will stand by him/ assist him.....you know what the rest of us do? Drive away. Hence your friend ended in hospital Can you think for one moment....if other drivers could stand together....you block a taxi, he jumps out and the next moment he is surrounded by 20 people? Maybe that will cause them to start thinking "i cannot do what I want to as there will be people doing something" Well I can only dream...... You see, they KNOW no-one will do anything...so they do what they want to....

I know that this is what happens, but my question is,....Why allow some people do what they want and then have LOTS to say and threaten others? So where are the hubbers that say " the law is the law"? Seems to me the "the law is the law, when you are a cyclist(soft target)"

So that makes it ok for them to do what they want to? So you saying it is NOT about the road rules, but more about lets shout / hoot at the cyclist because he will not shoot us? Then my friend, you are spineless. So stop moaning about cyclist breaking rules....if you are not prepared to apply that moan the ALL road users rather dont say anything...... shouting = Do you mean shooting? Peppaspray = Do you mean pepper spray? Stupitt = Do you mean stupid?

Do you do the same with Taxis? Or just with soft targets?

/Morning rant on/ After seeing again this morning how taxis drive and their lack of respect to the traffic rules. I was thinking about this thread.... I have a question.... Why is that hubbers/cyclist get involved when another cyclist breaks the law and then the feel that they have to do/say something or report them....BUT I see no reaction from drivers when Taxis do what they want to. I shouted at a taxi..."you are not allowed to do that" only to get the response "f*** OFF, are you traffic?" So maybe I am missing something, but has thehub become a place to come and express your view, ie hit the soft target? I am yet to see a cyclist do as much damage as a taxi, normally the cyclist looses anyway.....so could we all either stop the bashing of fellow cyclist OR apply the same rules to ALL users of the road? BTW don’t tell me you reported a TAXI...you and I both know that reporting anything to the traffic department is a waste of time. They want to make the easy money NOT enforce safety. /Morning rant off/

Why do you need a photo to confirm that the bunch was spread accross the road....I can confirm that for you......in the cross wind they were all over the road. Posting a pic here will cause people to be a target of abuse.... The Think bike did a fantastic job and was there, and yes the A-bunch was blocked the WHOLE road at some stages due to the wind.....what more proof do you want?

I dont think these pictures is any of our / people on this forums problem or bussiness.....

Thank you for all your work on Sunday, I can say that the Marchal riding with the A-bunch I was in, helped us a lot. Please disregard this thread, and also thank the other Bike Marchals.... Well done to all of you on Sunday....

Please tell me more, I have a few drivers(Edit: on my route) that by the looks of it, dont use theirs so I might as well remove it for them....

Maybe this fread should be renamed to Burger seeding shambles...Non capable Riders ended up in the A group.....

How about not hooting him....leave him the way you drivers let Taxis and busses do what they want to....let the cyclist do what he wants to. I think that we need to hear the other side of the story also....what did YOU say(that discussion) to him to make him so angry?

Really? Did you know what was going on at all? Let me try and assit you? The sudden stop the first time was because a tandem(with a nervous stroker ) hit a speed wobble (caused by the stroker looking around) and went down. The next slow down was at the railway where there were people lying next to the road and the marshals tell you to slow down. Lots of people in a big bunch will try and get to the front 1/3 of the bunch not the front? Did you not know that? I did not feel unsafe in that bunch, well controlled generally except for some littering.....

Really? Is it not because you are not strong enough? The guys who rode away from you were sitting in the wind in the front row and still dropped you?

You must have a special gift to judge speed that accurately. Have you ever riden a bike? Unless cars from the front were flashing them I would not assume that it was unsafe. Bike can take a gap 400x quicker and safer than a car.

From what I saw, I fully agree. On the wind some guys were being pushed over the line. The marchal then warn the traffic and also gave ample warning when there was a truck Comming from the front. Everyone would then do the best to get left again and the wind would do its bit again. Very well done considering the conditions.

I was also in A and there was a Think Bike Marchal next to us the whole time. I could also see one with the A group in front of us. You sure you were not on your own?
