  1. I was there also and it must have been one if the best races I have done recently.
  2. What did you use to as a clamp for the bike? Can you show us a close up pic of the clam maybe?
  3. What I was thinking also. Let them send it back. Price quoted is price you should pay nothing more.
  4. Or sort out there seeding system... I was waiting for the comments.....dont moan...assist....or dont join PPA then....etc and it did not take long....
  5. I have one and unfortunately it does not seem to work for me. It is in the way of my helmet or sunglasses, so I am not a supporter. I must say that the first post looks a lot like an advertisement and not a review.
  6. This is another video?
  7. Sorry to be a pain, but where did you see this?
  8. Where did you read that the cyclist hit the guy's car bonnet? Why did the cyclist deserve what he got?
  9. Does anyone have a link to the BBC video?
  10. Get some yellow rim strips, and stick that on. Insert the tubeless valve you got and there you go. Pop the tire on and pump.
  11. Depends on what you see as drugs? Vitamin-C? Voltaren?
  12. I do not think that anyone will openly walk around these days with syringes if they intent to use it for illegal purposes..... I would like to think that it was for Sealant, Diabetic purposes....or maybe just vitamin B-comp....
  13. Thanks AndreZA....I also fixed the 0
  14. Just saw the price of the XX Power glide 11-36 and was shocked. R2500+ for a cassette..... Anyway I want to use this to replace it with, Shimano SLX 10 Spd Cassette (M663)....11-36 does anyone know if it will work 100%? I know that Sram and Shimano should be compatible but I am not 100% sure when it comes to their 10 speed group sets and XX etc.
  15. Well done......now maybe the oke taking the bike to sell them will loose their market a bit.
  16. you should be able to find the actual bike picture on the Giant website, look under archive.....
  17. Interesting argument, as he imediately flagged down CHUBB and informed the Police....how can the "owner" say that it was stolen from him? Clearly the goods where taken and handed to the police? Now the only question is, will the bike EVER make it to its owner or will it stay in the POLICE "custody" until they can sell it or whatever they do with un-claimed goods.
  18. Heard something interesting yesterday but I am not sure if it will apply to cycling. Under the new CPA it does not matter where you the good( bought it yourself on Singapour or imported it etc) as long as it is a genuine product ( ie not a fake). The distributor will have to honor the warrantee. Like if you buy an iPad in the UK and have a problem in SA, any distributor here has to assist you. So maybe Specialized will have to honor warenties does not matter where you got the bike. Or Scott, GF etc. Thanks CPA
  19. Sorry if this is a stupid question, but what has the crash replacement policy in this case got to do with "grey" You do not have a crash replacement on this product no matter WHERE you bought it.....
  20. Sounds a bit much for what you are getting here..... If R6000 is you total budget then I would suggest that you buy the helmet first then next month the bike, tehn hydration etc can come later. The Helmet is the MOST important thing....then get the bike, save on the "tubeless" converstion and do that yourself....plenty info on the hub (howto's)
  21. If it is shimano then it is the trimming click...have a look at how much the FD moves when you change....normally it the first click is small(trim), then the next one big(move the chain to big ring) and then DA has another small click while you are on the big ring(trim again) Hope it helps. WRT the gears 2 and 3, have your RD hanger checked, if all the other gears are fine then the hanger could be bend or the RD cage itself. That is if the barrel adjusting does not sort it.

    Cable liner

Yes it worked, but I did not take pics...... Took a new cable and "scored" the outer plastic where I wanted to cut it as I still wanted a little bit of "normal" cable left. Then "scored" the little wires with a tiny file all the way round....then I cut the outer of like Mampara suggested and broke of the the wires.... Now I had a piece of normal cable with only the inner exposed at the one end. Thanks for all the suggestions. Here is a little drawing of the end product. Black lines is the plastic outer Red the metal wires and the green is the inner( the inner is very thin but I am sure it will do the trick.)
