Wonder how that will affect the emperors mtb race? Also, the new industrial development on the west side of the R21 opposite the old mx track etc has blocked access to the tunnell under the highway .... less and less riding area!!!!
I lived in Edenglen. Then someone decided it would be a good idea to make it a boomed area and I was 5 houses away from the only 24hr access gate. The noise on Friday & Sat nights was terrible and my lone voice meant nothing. I was also on the boundry with veld behind me. They did nothing to secure my property so in effect I was the fence. They also lied about insurance discounts as mine went up because I was on the boundry and I had to put up an electric fence. Anyway I refused to contribute and moved. I do not agree with road closures!!! Only those who have no social skills hide.
I was bikejacked at gunpoint in Feb and it still affects me ..... the most horrid thing anyone can go through. You need someone to talk to, someone who cares or loves you.
I got a small Silverback Dakota h/tail - tubed tyres with tyre liners, V-brakes but sound and reliable. Gimme 1k deposit and use it to your hearts content!
bull***t!! They told me to piss off when my bike was stolen off bike rack at Kyalami in 2007. It was locked with a cable lock but they said it was left unattended and that was why they rejected the claim.
Bushes etc was what I meant by 'seals etc' .... my forks are 5yrs old with about 15 000km on them. Got serviced (badly) by agents in CT last year now oil leaks and lots of play!!
There is play in the fork between the fork legs and fork tubes. This allows the lower legs to move back under braking. A service wirh new seals etc should cure it .....I have the same problem with my Rockshox but can't find anyone to service them up here!!!
Today, on my way back to Germiston from my meeting in Randburg I had a puncture at the bottom of 1st ave Linden when a valve pulled out the rim tape. After a sweaty push up the long hill to Linden Cycles I was back on the road with new rim tape & sealant in 1/2 hour .... tks guys!!!
I often see people riding at 6:30 or so in Van Buuren rd, but is there are sort of organised ride. I want to try squeeze in a 20km ride every weekday morning.
Lets see what you say when you've been held in the bushes at gunpoint for 20-min and strip searched coz they cant understand why you go riding with only R30 and no credit cards!!!
