  1. If the problem is with Training Centre, I find I sometimes need to unplug the 705 from the USB cable and then reconnect it if it gives me the device not detected error on trying to download...
  2. I've managed to do it in about 50 minutes on my scrambler. Would have been faster if it weren't for those %^&$ing cyclists clogging up the trail...
  3. Garmin Edge 705. ****ing awesome...
  4. Plain, nutritious meal the night before (usually pasta) Oats for breakfast. 1 x 500ml CytoMax before the race During the race: 1 x 500mx CytoMax/Enervit 1 x 500ml water 1/3 to 1/2 a PVM bar Maybe 1xEnervit or USN gel After: 1 x 500ml USN protein shake
  5. I originally got a Camelbak Mule, but found it too big and bulky (I use if for commuting now - it's great for that). I replaced it with a Hydrapak (one of the smaller ones) and it fits my chow and spares nicely without the bulkiness and sits nicely on my back. I reckon this is a try it and decide for yourself type of question...
  6. Ooah Arh! Oi reckon it should be a pubic 'angin', Oi do...
  7. Is the packaging bio-degradable?
  8. **** the wrappers. You're gonna have to pick ME up off the floor after that one!!!
  9. <popcorn>Can I come watch?</popcorn>
  10. He's the lightie whose mum has to shout at him to pick his c**p off the bedroom floor every day...
  11. For a one day race - not. Just eat properly & hydrate...
  12. IMHO: It also depends on how you do things. I have the habit of politely "telling off" Gu droppers and asking them please to not do it again. I have only been sworn at a couple of times... It's an education thing. Let people realise it's not acceptable and they'll cut down on doing it. However, there will always be some self-centered pig out there...
  13. Yep - I also had one that broke (which is why I wear it on my ankle), but once again, CC don't care...
  14. I find that unplugging the unit for a few seconds then plugging it back in again solves the problem. Also, make sure the connector is properly inserted. The unit should beep and show a computer on the screen.
  15. Can I throw some popcorn onto the fire (to mix my metaphors)? I applied for my license in December. I collected it from my Club in January. The best service I have ever had. Yay to CSA and to Cycle Lab (shameless punt)! I don't know the Lemmers, I don't know CSA, I don't know CGC, but I reckon the situation was a complete balls up and JC himself (you know - the guy who walked on water) would need some time to sort the **** out. Mere mortals would need a little longer... Give the guys a chance and complain if things don't get better. They're implementing systems where none existed and from a zero base, so don't expect them to get it right immediately. Shoot them down if they cock it up next year, tho'...
  16. SS and WT are both pretty relaxed regarding competition from each other. They are not in completely overlapping markets, though. SS is smaller and can't handle events like the Argus, so WT are happy to let them handle the events they can't or don't want to. It might heat up in the future, though. CC are the ones worried about losing market share and who are using the lock-in strategy to keep the others out of "their" market.
