I,m still thinking about the drop-in in the below link. https://www.bikehub.co.za/forum_posts.asp?TID=26928&KW=night&PN=4 It's a 3 led cree q2/p4 at about 400 lum. According to some reviews there are heats issues on full power(all 3 leds).

Does your below R500 light includes batterypack(rechargeble) and charger? Thats normaly the pricy part.

I agree, the sa site have no info on products, the .com one a bit more. Had to surf the web to get some specs and read up on some reviews on this product. Must the LEDS be in series or parallel. In parallel one can maybe play around with the option to have 1, 2 or 3 leds on to save the battery

Go for the Scott. I,m riding a Scale 60, more than 2 years old no problems. A nice upgrade i did was to change the bottom bracket(hollowtech II).If you do it straight away your cycleshop should give you a good discount for your old one.
