  2. I,m still thinking about the drop-in in the below link. https://www.bikehub.co.za/forum_posts.asp?TID=26928&KW=night&PN=4 It's a 3 led cree q2/p4 at about 400 lum. According to some reviews there are heats issues on full power(all 3 leds).
  3. Does your below R500 light includes batterypack(rechargeble) and charger? Thats normaly the pricy part.
  4. At first i thought why underwater.Where a bit confused. Do you know what cree its using?
  5. I thought we gonna keep the hub cycle related. Ist that why you have closed Big H topic yesterday Admin. Surely whats good for one must be good for the other too. Maybe now i can start a poll and ask have the hub become a petrol forum. just a thought.
  6. I agree, the sa site have no info on products, the .com one a bit more. Had to surf the web to get some specs and read up on some reviews on this product. Must say, the reviews i read by people using it are quite good. So far i got replies from them within a day of the queries i had. Aren't all stuff 'Made in China?'
  7. There are now so many topics on diy lights, cant keep up. The unit in the below link looks promising. Looks like 400+ Lum . It got 3 modes-1 led 2led & 3 led.Uses either cree q2 or p4 leds. Pre build with controler and heatsink, i think it might fit in 50mm plumbing housing. There are some beam shots in the link from some chinese site. https://www.bikehub.co.za/forum_posts.asp?TID=26928&KW=night&PN=4 Local supplier, they also sell q5. unit R350 18650 3.7v 2.4 H (x2) batteries R142 Digital charger for batteries R134 Time to try and build a housing - priceless-

This looks a lot easier, it?s the cree q5 with 5 mode settings. All you need to do is get a casing and batterypack. Is this the stuff you use in your lights Brighter-Lights?
  9. What do u guys think about the light in the attached link. Looks like its prebuild with regulater and reflector. Local supplier R350. http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.9358 http://www.extremeshop.co.za/displayitem.php?stockid=9076
  10. Thank You VERY Impressive !!!!!!!!
  11. Must the LEDS be in series or parallel. In parallel one can maybe play around with the option to have 1, 2 or 3 leds on to save the battery
  12. Hi Willehond Can you maybe send a photo where using the light outside, will be interesting to see a 10 and 20m view.
  13. Why not all the way, the 705.
  14. Go for the Scott. I,m riding a Scale 60, more than 2 years old no problems. A nice upgrade i did was to change the bottom bracket(hollowtech II).If you do it straight away your cycleshop should give you a good discount for your old one.
