Hey I'm having a problem deciding between the two. I want to buy a new bike, because now would be a better time with prices still "normal". Next year is going to be a ......... !! What do you guys think of Sram Red?? Read a few articles on that and the biggest thing, comming from the articles is the "noise" red makes?? Now I don't know if that is a bad noise or just a normal one. Contador rides RED so if pro's don't mind that then what will the draw back be? Dura ace sound silent enough to me - but like the sram red look... New DA by the way is too expencive for not that much a differance. Help - some of you hubbers out there riding sram red??? Apparently RED is quite comfy.... vs DA Thanx - will be watching this topic

We've had some Q&A about lots of stuff surrounding cycling. The most resend that I can remember was the Crit vs kermesse. Now 2 more and we need explaining. Its just that a bike race like the tour is over 3 weeks - there are lots of ways to overcome you opponents by either climbing very good, be a damm good TT'list or just grind all the way and create breakaways , but in a 100m sprint olympic race, one can only jump off the start and run you all out (sure all of them trained that) another "amazing" part is that he stopped running with about 3-4m left arms out and still beat the WR and the rest of the guys ?? You might be right but for me this is just "too good to be true"

This is not fair regarding doping scandals - lots of athletes (track) have used drugs in the past and no big fuzz were made.. One can freeze seemen from people and animals - and they seem to be working after a few years so I guess urine will also last that long and in good shape. What if someone spike his urine sample just to f^&k everything up and frame him for EPO or steriods?? Could happenASTANA2008-10-07 03:14:48

the french can be such a pain in the ass sometimes - let him ride - test he alot (lots of A samples to retest and retest) and if he succeeds without a post test - then good for him and the will remain the LANCE ARMSTRONG

The thing is - I don't like the brand - but I do like Dura ace and the easton EC90 SL rims. What else would you go for that has DA groupset?

Hi all I'm in the mids of buying a new road bike, but need some advice to makking a smart choice. The bike that I can buy now is the 08 model of schwinn with DA 7800 and some other nice to haves like easton rims ect. What my question to you guys is - should I wait for the newer 09 bikes to arrive and buy the new DA 7900 with the "new" look - and then just look for bargain bikes. I'm keen to spend in between 30K - 35K.

Some dude will kill you for a lot less But ja, *** bike. Any bike with diamonds and crap will be expencive. Look at the "celebs" they buy a normal Ipod with diamond and its moer expencive and "cool" for them.. stupid

Even if LA use EPO that does not mean that he was/is a bad cyclist, come on you still need to be very good to be able to race on that level and win the Tour that many times. I'm sure that most of these guys all use some sort of drug, mostly prescribe legal stuff and hope that they can keep up with the rest of the pro bunch, but the one in a while there is that one "good" rider that use EPO or steriods and then he wins the race. Look at the Barloword rider that were busted but EPO I think, he never futured in the ToUR. What this all mean is that, the french just want to break down LA ego and try and convince him to not race again, lance is still good either way, if they want to know it or Not. None of us will use illeagal stuff now and in a years time or more compete at the top end of the bike race. You still need to be good and be right up there. If the resluts were to be a pos, then it would be sad to see the man that always claimed to be clean, fall, but in the long run, he will still be Lance armstrong they big Texan who won the tour 7 times. Look at all the other so called legends - we all love JAN U, he doped..

dude take it from me... Sram - very nice to have, the shifting is amazing , but the big disadvantage is that it needs a lot of attention all the time, so regular service is required on the other hand , Shimano DA is more rough but still very good (lots of pros also use them) and Shimano is like a AK47 it will always work with or without the monthly service!! Sram is still new to road cycling where as Shimano and Campy is still going strong. If you like "style" and want ot be brandname "bef&k" then go with the expensive Campy or Sram. Shimano is still the best value for money I would say and the new DA looks really good Up 2 u mate..

I sure hope for the sport and for lance that this test will be done and show as a Negt, that all the critics can stop moaning and get on with a new season and new riders. Still dont think he'll be on form at his age to compete for a win, but he will be up there and hopefully without the scar of doping, not THE LANCE Armstrong.

Cool if someony paste a storie that is kept quit or something no one knows about, but don't past stories that we all know.
