  1. If you excercise to just loose weight and don't really care about doing it for a sport - i would suggest to run before breakfast for 5km or more , or if your really keen on loosing weight do stair running in the morning. but on the other hand - this is cycling it has been mentioned - eat normal 2h before the excersise, if its in the morning then just drink water and maby a fruit for loosing weight, but for training fitness one should always be loaded with energy to get the best out of the training. if all depends on what you want to do. Spinning for fun or spinning to loose it.
  2. Some comments on the pics aswell plz. Who is the csc guy on the last pic? What group is this? Elite????
  3. http://www.bikesomewhere.com/images/brands/sidisizing.gif Using the size chart what size shoe do I take? I want to order one, so no way of fitting first. I wear a US 10 running shoe (Euro 44) , a normal 9 shoe (Euro 43) and my old cycling shoes were a 8 (41) .... Want to buy Sidi - anyone know where in CT one can maby fit these as all the stores here in Stellenbosch is sold out or does not have stock (or dont stock these). Any other shoes that might be good and will last for some time. Anything up till R2500...
  4. 3bike on the roof is a bit too much - thats like a toaster on ther roof. As I see it a Thule roofrack and one of their bike mounds would do the trick for one bike and everything is nice and out of the way. I have one of those older versions of the Holdfast racks - were the bike hang in mid air and you have to tie it down with straps. This rack sucks - and it scratched my frame a bit!! I'd rather go for the less expencive option - put on a roofrack and the bike rack on that. The "cool" Thule rear racks for 2-3 bikes are you expencive R8K!!! sh*t.. I have a Toyota Tazz - le Tazz / TT haha so no one can tell me about fuel consumption. Put some clothes in the car and it struggels!! Roof racks look cool!! Just don't be stupid and remember that you have your bike on the roof. Would you guys go for the one where you take out the front wheel and fasten the bike thatway (roof rack) or where the whole bike sits on the roof (both wheels in the staps)? Cheers
  5. THANX 1MINboy for adding ASTANA!! Love the "Contador kit" haha.
  6. CSC the best kit
  7. As soon as "they" figure out that there is some parts of that camera to use its going to be stolen everytime thay put one out. We have radiosignal towers on the farm to open the hiroulic taps for irrigation, and on these towers/poles there is a small sunpannel and solenoids. The whole reciever is in a steel box 5 meters in the air - they still manage to cut down the tower/pole and cut open the box to steal a sunpannel a big as a matchbox!!! Amazing what can be done if you put your mind to it!!
  8. Willehond - die sport lyk darm baie snaaks - maar ek glo dit is seker groot da bo. Sal nogal wil sien hoe dit lyk - glo dit is `n goeie spectator sport!
  9. Cyclocross is so weird.... but looks tough! Don't really see why one would like to ride a "road bike" in mud and dirt..
  10. Hey I am looking for a new MTB, but donn't have the cash now as I'm looking at a road bike first. Anyway - the Q is: What do you guys think of SRAM X0? Heard/ not confirmed by anyone that SRAM needs a lot more attention on MTB and road. The other option the the all known Shimano XT(great value for $). I'm looking at the new 09 Raleigh X0 bike (but still don't know the prices for the 09 models), nothing on www.raleigh.co.za ... The other bike I like is the 08 GT Zaskar Pro - they were new at 25K, think it would be cheaper now... maby. I just don't see the need for XTR - looks perhaps but that it for me. ANYONE have ridden the Sram groupsets on MTB?
  11. This is a Awsome bike - in the class of the BMC pro machine!!

    Creatine

Dude, don't do it. Creatine is a bit uncontrolled. Rather use gravity / own body weight excercises to build muscle in you upperbody and core. You can even do leg strenthening excercises to buil a bit muscle in you legs(that will add bmi) You don't want to get bigger(cycling wise), but if you build muscle/ or just strenthen the ones you have it will work great. Light is good. Some people are just born skinny and light, keep it that way (for cycling) at least.
  13. Queen - bicycle song
  14. Shame one you!! I'm not even a full time rugby supporter and it's not "my" teams playing. Your Sharks are plaing the blou bulle pretoria people
  15. - sterkte man. Jy wil anyway nie die game kyk nie - glo die sharks gaan wen (dis nou as jy `n bloubul is)
  16. Hi I'm looking for a roofrack for my Toyota tazz or TT as its called... Does any one know what roofracks to buy for this car, as I can only find roofracks for VW polo's ect. Somewhere in Cape town. Want to put my bikes on the roof - going to NAM for the holidays and want the MTB be be out of the dust at the back. Please let me know... Thanx
  17. The photo must be close to real, he is a freak - with his obsessive eating disorder and crazy training - who knows, maby he never have a normal life - like chilling on the beach like Contador and the rst of the pro pack. He is living Cyling Looks like he even shaved his head to save weight
  18. Its just that the price gap is somewhat big, so if I decide to go with red I would like to be very happy all the way. I get the feeling that DA is like a AK47 and RED is like the US M16 - get the picture? Just don't want the bike to spend a lot of time in the service department than on the road.
  19. so its not a continious noise while your pedalling along?? Is it something that will stop you from buying the RED and rather go with DA?? Is it true that RED require a lot of attention to keep it going smoothly as DA is more reliable all the time??
  20. bump
  21. 4 is way better that the 2. But I think they still need to be treated harder in the sence that they can still ride in the 2-4 years. I think a positive test in a major race like le tour and giro - should be jailtime for 6months - 1year then they will be to scared to try something like that. bit harsh - but if you want to stop this then go big
  22. Hey I'm having a problem deciding between the two. I want to buy a new bike, because now would be a better time with prices still "normal". Next year is going to be a ......... !! What do you guys think of Sram Red?? Read a few articles on that and the biggest thing, comming from the articles is the "noise" red makes?? Now I don't know if that is a bad noise or just a normal one. Contador rides RED so if pro's don't mind that then what will the draw back be? Dura ace sound silent enough to me - but like the sram red look... New DA by the way is too expencive for not that much a differance. Help - some of you hubbers out there riding sram red??? Apparently RED is quite comfy.... vs DA Thanx - will be watching this topic
