  1. Cerv?lo's new west coast test facility has yielded its first fruit, an ultralight carbon road frame dubbed 'Project California' that the company claims to weigh just 700g in a 54cm size. Listen carefully to the video posted on Cerv?lo's web site, however, and it seems the prototype may be even lighter as the one provided to Cerv?lo TestTeam rider Thor Hushovd was just 648g. Here is Carlos and Thor checking it out.
  2. Changed my mind, SA's for sure. I am a very humble man this morning after the weekend
  3. ? I think it was harder for Brandt as he had no one ahead of him' date=' just a clear road....Christie was chasing down Jaco all the way and having a carrot dangled, you do tend to dig a bit deeper when you see you are catching someone, you could see on his face he was diggin deep, well done to Christie....TCS guys were all flying but not as fast as that mini cooper racing up and down[/quote'] Heard from intern that the rider that came 4th, Jeffrey Kriel, turned wrongly at the first cone and not the second one. He had to turn around and ride back past the first one to the second cone and turn around. He finished 20 seconds down on Christie at the end. Bad luck but well done to the TcS boyz ! Unfortunately intern won't be racing tomorrow, he has just come out of surgery last week The Pirate2010-02-19 01:38:02
  4. Maria followed it up with a bronze in the road race as well. Two medals at SA's, not bad. I'll ask her hubname when I see her on Saturday for my race
  5. All the results can be found on http://www.cyclingchamps.co.za/road-results/
  6. ? Good question Bored Girl! ? Congratulations to the two of them anyway. I know she goes onto the hub a lot, but I think she is more a reader than a writer
  7. The Graskop Hillclimb champs in June/July is also pretty tough, it might even slot in under the Panorama and above the Jock ?
  8. From the choices we have here it has to be last years "new" 94.7 route. It used to be the D2D but the new shorter route is not that bad. Agree with MuXmAn. The toughest is the Panorama Tour, then the Jock and my nr 3 is the Kremetart.
  9. So we have our first medal for the hub. Maria Fourie nee Martins got a bronze this morning in the ladies 30-34 ITT. If anyone else knows of more hubbers that did really well let us know
  10. ? read an interview - about a year back? - with him about that historic day! tough as nails. ? That was the year he won the Giro right ?
  11. Could yesterday's race 3 at the Challenge Ciclista a Mallorca in Spain be the worst ever in the pro peleton ? 90, yes 90, pro's pulled out and 45 pro's finished outside the time limit.
  12. It looks much hotter, like 40 or something.

  15. Close to home and still leading by more than 5 minutes Geert STEURS (TSV) takes the win and Wouter MOL (VAC) takes over the race lead. First and second on the GC with more than 2 minute gap to 3rd overall. Boonen, Haussler and co. chased in vain.
  16. First drama of the day, Kurt-Asle ARVESEN crashes out for team SKY Geert STEURS (TSV) - Wouter MOL (VAC) make the big break for the day building up a lead of over 15 minutes. The Tour leader get's caught out by the wind and puncture. His Team SKY team falls back to help him and basically loses the Tour that way.
