  1. For breakfast, my favourite is to chop a small whole onion, fry it in a pan with losts of butter. When the onoins are golden brown I spread them evenly on the pan, then beat three eggs and add them to the pan to create my onion omelette. Yum!
  2. For me, it all depends on what I am doing during the day. If i am at a desk the whole day, then it is snack central! If i am physicall busy, then I dont even worry. Maybe its just habit. I do find that the lower I go with the carbs, the less hungry I get.
  3. Can a local trade on the US stock market? Would you then use a US broker?
  4. Where did you buy that MCT oil? When I ask the staff at Dischem, I get blank expressions.
  5. There are a few resturants getting on on the banting band wagon. My wife told me the other day that the Dros (not sure if it is all of them) has introduced some banting items to their menu. There is a new banting magazine out called Lose It. In either issue 1 or 2, they give a list of resturants with banting options.
  6. I have copied a youtube link below. Sorry not sure how to embed it here. Neverthe less, its regarding the truth about sugar. Its a rather long and technical video, but if you go to around 36:30, the speaker gives a good explanation for LDL. The other interesting thing is that the video was posted over 5 years ago. He basically says that you get two types of LDL, light fluffy and heavy dense. The way to deffrentiate between the two is to look at your Triglycerides. If Triglycerides are low then LDL is light and fluffy, which is good.
  7. Tapered fork is correct for that frame.
  8. Once went to a feastival and Mr Gillroy and a colleage were there selling and serving beer. I think they were more wasted then the customers! Dont think they made any profit that day. As a note, its the craft beer feastival at Monte Casino tomorrow from 11:30.
  9. I have come full circle with the LCHF resoning. Logically you require carbs for any high intensity work done i.e. heart rate above say 80 percent of maximum heart rate. Currenly I do LCHF with carbs below 50 g on days I dont train. On training days I do LCHF before training, but then switch to low fat plus carbs after training. During the week this is fine because I train at night, so it only involves one meal done in this manner. For that meal i keep carbs at 100g. On weekends, if training in the morning, i will keep fat low and consume carbs for 6 hours after I finish my training, then switch to LCHF for the rest of the day. I restrict my carbs to wild rice and 32GI. If I do a long ride, more than 2 hrs, I consume carbs in the form of 32GI.
  10. I remember driving with my dad down Christian de Wet, through Allens neck and there being nothing but instant lawn pastures on either side. The sub station on the left has always been there though. No Clearwater mall, no Makro, no town house complexs, nothing!
  11. I remember Cesta when it was only the double story section between where Checkers is now and Truworths. CNA used to be where Clicks is now. I think there was a Dions upstairs where Milladys is now.
  12. Yes, the Chillers foam parties!
  13. Mix the coconut oil and coffee with a whisk. Makes a nice foam on top, almost like cappuccino. Mix in some butter and cream, even better!
