  1. In my opinion...go microspline. 12 speed Shimano XT just works better, cheaper and is easier to maintain.
  2. Stolen: Rocky Mountain Not sure Where: Kuils River, Cape Town, Western CapeSram crank, Saddle bag, Front and rear lights, Rocket Ron tyresGet further details about the incident in the Stolen Bikes section.
  3. Hi Normally the Giant Anthem and XTC comes with these wheels as standard. Front os a 15mm thru axel and rear is QR. Can the front be converted to QR? If so, what does it cost?
  4. I have the comp. I had a bike fit done on my MTB and after a bit of measurement its on the MTB now. Can't wait for my legs to recover from the Cycle Tour to try the seat out on the trails where I normally ride.
  5. I am very happy to hear this. Thanks a lot guys!
  6. Hi all I bought a Fizik Gobi saddle and was very happy with the comfort of it except for the fact that I sometimes experience numbness down under. I was told by an experienced riding friend, to buy a different saddle, because this numbness can cause future manly problems. He told me to get the Specialized Phenom or Power. Friday, two days before the Cape Town Cycle Tour, I went to the Specialized concept store. They measured my sit bones to be 115mm and gave me the 143mm Power saddle. I know you are not supposed to change anything before a race, but I took a chance. I experienced quite some pain only on my sit bones for about half way through the race. It felt like all my weight was focused on my sit bones. Thankfully no numbness whatsoever! My question is, is a new saddle supposed to hurt at first untill you get used to the saddle or untill the padding get used to your shape? Or is the right saddle for you supposed to be perfectly comfortable from the start?
  7. Donate it and get more people into this awesome sport!
  8. Glad you are ok! Why didn't he see you...playing on his phone?

  10. What do you guys think of this one?https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/129310-mechanical-dropper-seatpost/
  11. Hi I am interested in a dropper post. I think it will help on the single tracks. My only concern is play / wiggle on the shaft. Is it only the cheap ones that has this play or does all of them have it? My Specialized takes a 27.2. As far as I know you don't get hydraulic droppers in 27.2? I am thinking of buying the mechanical one on the hub. Any help will be appreciated.
  12. I think Marc at Attitude Cycles also uses Irma. Will have to give her a try
  13. Between 10 and 12 if its in mint condition
