Spoke to the Racetec people today. It 'should' be fine to just put it in your back pocket. Other option is to ask one of them to hold it while you ride over the mats.I'm going all anti alien. Will wrap it in tinfoil (hopefully a lightweight diy Faraday Cage (untested - some theory behind it though) and hold it above my head. Can anybody confirm that there are start groups after 10am SS is at 9:56, TT @ 10:02, UU @ 10:08, VV @ 10:14 & WW @ 10:20 ?

Surely the start time of the original owner of the entry has no bearing on where the substituted rider will be seeded? Riding with own chip and other person's entry help nothing - only an official DNS. Riding with the original owner's chip can result in a DQ/ban from the event.

Wanted to say the same! 2/3 bombs (+adaptor and tyre levers), spare tube + stick on patches. These do not weigh much, but their absence can cause huge delays.
