I did 1.5 laps for two photos. One basically just a zoomed in version of the other! edit: They seem to have photos on the website sooner than last year. Maybe they are still busy loading the rest?

I finished towards the back of B - think with the 2nd group of C riders. We had a golden-ish Volvo sedan shadowing us all the way from the N14 somewhere. EC plates if I remember correctly. Seems like they were 'watching'/seconding? a drop out from the Elite ladies bunches? No other incidents to speak of other that the bloke who sat at the front of the group, sweated so much that he showered the rest of is in drops of sweat. Dodging this I moved a bit to the side (nobody close to me to either side) only to get some wheel sitter shouting obscenities at me from behind me... Sorry mister, but if you want to overlap wheels with riders ahead of you, you WILL come short - all your own doing! Luckily he did not touch wheels, or go down. Anyway he should go back to bunch riding 101!!! And work on your language skill. Profanities merely indicates an inability of express yourself!
  6. What did you eat the day before. How was the sleep 2 nights before? When did you start tapering/when was your last long/hard ride before Sunday? Remember that when dropped by a bunch it is better to sit up and wait for the next one than to soldier on and burn out and not being able to stick with a bunch coming past...
  7. Is it him being a big deal, or him being awake that's the big deal?
  8. ek beter dus nie antwoord "aai man" nie?

I drink neither. Does that make me a runner?
  10. You should get Cyclewizz to spill his beans. He has been racking up huge miles via Strava!
  11. You're welcome to do it!
  12. I tried doing a double lapper this year, but racing snake Cyclewizz refused to start lap two which left me starting it all alone. Eventually bailed the second lap at the intersection of Witkoppen and Malibongwe (just part 1/2 way). Turned left and went home. I felt like an imposter taking it easy in the last bunch, but still overtaking everybody. Different thing to do a 160km easy ride compared to racing 93.6 km and then wanting to do another 90 odd (turned out to be 65km) 'easy'
  13. Are you two not FB Facebook friends? edit: damn lysdexia
  14. The 3:13 was done on a road bike, just after I started training & doing sport again. Started running in August that year. Got a MTB in September, and a road bike (from the hub) during the first week of November after substituting somebody's entry (from the hub). Rode 350km in total for training. the 'long' rides were all single lap efforts One helping somebody help somebody else to finish the race (started 9am), and the other with a humber starting in C ... Both of these slow rides were the result of HUGE effort. SO... neither effort , nor training equates to results
  15. chip worked fine. Times verified against garmins/polar/whatever

  17. Quality itself. Not the composition (programming) That said, quality (video/broadcasting) was on par for ZA

Well done slowpoke! Were you part of the group that finished just before cut-off?
  19. That seems to be a local thing. Even SS has appalling picture quality. Just shows how the rest of the world has moved away from us stuck with low definition terrestrial based broadcasting.
  20. Impressive. Results are up!
  21. Saw a bit of this afternoon. Was really cool how they spoke to the people in the race, May it grow from strength to strength for them! Hope SS stays out of this event. We really do not need more monopoly & same old same old commentary & recipes from them.
