Driving home yesterday over the Nek and into Camps Bay there was a cyclist 2 cars in front of me, as we round the long right hand bend past Hussar Grill he decides to overtake the car in front of him. To do this he has to pull out into the oncoming lane (across a solid white line). He just managed to squeeze in between the car he'd just passed, the car in front of that and the oncoming SLK. Que lots of shaking heads, and a finger from the SLK driver. This idiot then rides right through the 3 way stop at Houghton rd, with cars waiting at all 3 without slowing down. It was 18:30. You know everytime I read about a cyclist getting hurt, or worse, on our roads it's painful, but this guy was begging for it and i would have had no sympathy.

UK Mags are raving about the new Anthem X1. I'd still take the SL though.......snob.

Not sure how efective it is for 2 reasons: 1. The real stuff is not sold legally. The commercial stuff I've seen isn't that potent. I'm not an expert, maybe someone can advise? 2. Like any weapon - if it's not in your hand, or close enough to be used instintively, more than likely it's too late. I'm always worried that these things give a false sense of security. Best defence is to be aware and run away.

Hey TT My XC600 is being serviced right now by the guys in George. I think they are all down in CT this weekend for Nationals. I don't have a number for them directly, but give Robin from Bike Hut a call and I'm sure he'll be able to refer you. The knocking sound is usually the spring, and seems to be caused by either low oil levels, or leaking air. Good Luck.

This seems to be a fun thread, so to expand on it: If it's all about 'supporting' teams then why do I see people riding bikes which their chosen team (judging by there team kit) doesn't. Liquigas team kit on Trek T-Mobile on Merida And so on...

Team Kit. I don't get it. Why do overweight weekend warriors have to deck themselves out in full team kit. In fact why would anyone, who isn't being paid to? I have one jersey with advertising on it, it's black and says Bianchi across the back. I got it free when I bought a Bianchi.
