  3. very simple... when you replace your chain rings, also replace you chain a cassette. they all wear at the same time, so putting only a new blade on on old chain and casette will result in very quick wear

  9. not a chance!!! these cranks are the best on the world!!! EC90 Cranks How do you make the best carbon crank in the world? Start by thoroughly testing every high-end crank currently available for ultimate strength, fatigue strength and stiffness. Then hand those numbers to a world class team of engineers and designers, with one simple goal: make a better one. To do this we started with our CNT Composite, the most advanced carbon fiber material in the bike industry today, and developed our own blend of foam core molding, bladder molding and compression molding to create a highly refined carbon structure, and a superior level of performance in a carbon crank. It doesn't get any better than this. kingjreid2008-08-25 12:43:38

  15. i was just wondering if there is a way to fix tubular tyres quickly and easily (and cheaply). I have heard about slime in the tubby or about undoing the stitching and putting a patch on the inside? are there any tried and trusted ways? any success stories? enlighten me o enlightened ones:)
  16. veeerrry nice... i like the wheels!!! wow!!! and also the ?Scott? Forks?
  17. i was just wondering, which is the way forward.... is is better to buy a heavier deep section wheelset (say 1800g) or a lighter clincher wheelset (say 1300g)? in the eternal quest to find reductions of the smallest bit of weight i find it strange that people will often equip a top end road bike with rather heavy wheels... sorry for my ignorance and thanks in advance
  18. The following is cut and edited from an article on velonews. all i can say is that this racing is going to be HOT! Phinney posts world pursuit markAmerican Taylor Phinney, the 2007 world junior time trial champion, set a new world junior pursuit record Monday at the ADT Event Center velodrome in Carson, California. Phinney?s time of 3:16.589 in the 3000-meter individual pursuit broke Australian Michael Ford?s four-year-old record of 3:17.775. Phinney had hoped to race in the June 24-29 $150,000 UCI 2.2 under-25 American Eagle Outfitters Tour of Pennsylvania, where the opening 4km prologue would have suited his strengths perfectly, but his participation was rejected due to his junior classification. Instead, Henderson said, Phinney will train and motorpace in his hometown of Boulder, Colorado, before he heads to Cape Town, South Africa, for the July 12 world junior track championship and July 18 world junior time trial championship. From South Africa, Phinney and Henderson will travel to Bordeaux, France, to prepare for the Olympics alongside several members of New Zealand?s national track team. Finally, Phinney and Henderson will head to Beijing for the August 15-16 Olympic individual pursuit. ?Achieving this mark was one of my goals when I started my Olympic training this year,? Phinney said. ?As our team prepares for Beijing, I couldn?t be more proud to set this record. I?m excited to represent the United States in the Olympics.?

  24. just a note of warning, when cycling around in the Pietermaritzburg area, watch out... the other day me and a training buddy were followed by a white corsa bakkie with an empty bike rack on the back we tried slowing down and they did to. we stopped and so did they. eventually we started panicking cause we're just two kids and we saw two large men in the car. We stopped at somebodies house and desperately rang their doorbell and luckily they let us stay there and also followed is for a while in their car to make sure. It occurred in the Ashburton/Polly Shorts area... be careful!
