  1. Nothing wrong with using a trainer. I rode for an hour yesterday and learnt about dog intelligence at the same time
  2. I don't think the Polar software runs on Vista properly. A mate of mine could not get it to work. He contacted the agents who supplied him a work around.
  3. Have you lost the info from the watch, or the computer? The watch you can't do anything about. If you made a backup then you should be able to restore.
  4. ... but your current one looks much better imagine an orca in lime green
  5. My previous bike was lime green.
  6. Cyclists can also help themselves change the perception of motorists. A few things I do is alway thank a motorist who is waiting to turn right as I head towards them. Similarly I wave thank you to any motorist who gives me some room when they overtake. I make sure I stop on the line at a red traffic light and not push pass all the cars and sit in front of them waiting for the light to change.
  7. Maybe he's just supplied a few liters of blood. Judging by his tan line he's still spending time on the bike.
  8. My wife bought a Trek 1500 WSD recently and it has definitely helped her with her back problems. She was riding a small Scott, and even on that she felt over extended on the reach.
  9. I've gone through 6 pages of posts and I still have no idea who Gareth Cliff is
  10. left looking forward, or else buy a laptop and keep it in the cellar. It will be cheaper than buying cable ties in the long run
  11. the eject button only works on a 10% gradient hill riding a 53x11 I took my bike to the pc for the first few times until I got the "push down click left" routine sorted out.
  12. Is anyone using this wheelset. Any thoughts or comments about it? I'm passing my Ksyrium's onto my wife and considering getting the R-Sys.
  13. I would be interested if it was an after hours course.
  14. Cheer up. At least you'll have the wind behind you going home.
  15. ?I had good legs on the Mur and rode the wheel of (Davide) Rebellin up the climb,? said Kirchen, who became the first Luxembourg rider to win Fl?che. ?I used a 53x21, maybe it was a little too big, but when you have Cunego behind for a possible sprint, you need it.? HOw do these guys do it? I thought parts of the last climb were at nearly 20% and he's climbing on a 53x21!!!!!!!!! I tried that on Tiekkiesdraai recently and besides my cadence being only 20 I felt like I was giving birth.
  16. Can you perhaps tell us whether or not there was a wide yellow line or emergency lane on that road? I rode with the bunch who went past the unfortunate cyclist. There is a full road margin more than one car width wide. I still find it hard to comprehend how anyone could have missed him. My only conclusion is the driver was drunk.
