Hi Nigel, The sanctioned dates are as follows: 23 September 2012 14 October 2012 04 November 2012 We also still have the Greg Kaumpac Memorial event to add to the above three dates, so there is a possible 4 events to be held.
Nige, you are onto something here and definately needs further investigation. I say - Do it as we have those 4 sanctioned dates to play with. Maybe 5 August is a bit close but lets work on the next 3 dates till end November.
Been using Dirt Devil for the past 8 years on practically everything that is dirty. From my MX bikes to the bathroom tiles. Works a treat on all our Downhill bikes. Rinse the mud off, spray Dirt Devil on and wash the dirt off. Nothing else required and extremely kind to your bearings.
Patches - i bought the core saver for my 6 yr old son for BMX racing. He wears a Leatt brace. On the core saver you are able to unclip sections of the spine protector to fit a Leatt brace. I unclipped the two top sections and works fine. You can clip them back in again at a later stage if you need to.
I ride mostly downhill and as a result make sure i have as much protection as possible. Basically I dress for the crash!!!! I occasionally do the XC / freeride thing and still wear all my protective gear. It saved me a few months ago when i miss judged a section on a XC trail at Giba Gorge. Sent me over the bars and the bike followed !!!! I may look odd when im out on the XC trail full kitted out, but you never know what can happen.

Flip, i peddled my butt off in my second timed run and really felt like i went at least 5 seconds faster!! sadly i only shaved less than a second off my time. Tiaan did dam well to find that time!!

There is an area being zoned for a XC course at the new Durban Airport, i have spotted a few areas that could be used for a potential DH course and worth exploring further. That would suit me perfectly as i work at the airport and can go for a ride before and after work!!!!
