  9. Hi hubbers, I'm looking into building a fat bike. The question is: Carbon rigid fork or suspension fork? What do you think? The frame will be carbon ... Was thinking suspension fork ... want to go off-road. But then again Manie road one with a carbon rigid fork in the Epic...but then again ... it was Manie riding... Any advice?

  13. Hi Tankman! Huge respect for you and your fiancé! I was the lady rider that rode in the Engen clothes alone from stage five. Being a single rider I had to start every day in the last group and then work and pace myself through the "backmarkers" trying to ensure that should I get a mechanical I would still be able to make the cut-off! I want to thank every one of the teams that assisted me every time they saw me and chatted to me. I did finish my first ABSA Cape Epic, and are proud of it! Yes, I was one of the backmarkers, not because I did not prepare, because of events that happened in the earlier stages of the race ... I am a working mother, who had a dream. I worked hard to ensure that it become a reality and giving up was not an option ... even if I had to carry through on my own. Sometimes, you have to be your own hero!

  15. Thanx! Asked Rob to order a large for me ... thankyou gift for hubby for supporting me with the Epic
