those look like industry 9 wheels if i am not mistaken!!! very nice bike dude
  2. wow even over the shoulder now that just disgusting almost as if to say well who cares who rides over ti
  3. Radial 3 cross and four cross are the spoking patterns radial is a spoke that doesnt cross any other spoke on the way from the hub to the rim 3 cross is where a spoke crosses three other spokes on the way to the rim from the hub four cross is mostly done on tandems to add strength and it crosses four other spokes before getting to the rim the most common on mountain bikes is three cross and is plenty strong enough for any normal rider!!!!
  4. and going to northern farm or groenkloof is not a trek for us east randers either??????? in all honesty riding in our area is flat fast and absolutely not technical at all....... all of the above will never be found in any race that has half a decent rating by any mountain biker we might as well be riding our road bikes on the dirt in the east rand (other than in the mine dumps) if you want to ride your mountain bike do technical stuff and test your limits go to the parks and enjoy it like i do eveytime i go through to groenkloof logwood MTN bike park and the likes!!!!! if you want to ride out to bapsfontein and petit rather ride your road bike!!!!! Groenkloof doesn't have very technical stuff to ride tho. That's why it was good to see another bike park opening up. The sad part is that there are very few technical trails in Groenkloof. The only tracks worth riding there are the hiking trails. It's because we are not creating a culture of hard riding that we end up with glory boy stunts like the big bridge at MTN. I fell off my chair laughing when I saw that one. WTH!!!Logwood has some more potential, but when you see guys on hard tails being able to ride the supposed hardest double BD routes it really becomes obvious that we're not riding to standard. in the last few months groenkloof has been making continuos (sp) effort to improve the trails for us mountain bikers and their aim is for everyone to be able to ride there and also if one of the hardest XC routes in Gauteng is at groenkloof/fountains there is not any technicality lacking at groenkloof and what is wrong with hardtails on the BD trails????????????
  5. OT good luck with spez dude it took them a year and a half to replace one of my friends Roubaix fork with the Zerts in it just because they dont carry the Zerts forks for warrantees!!!
  6. Sorry to hear you had to graft. Yip I did it' date=' was ok, there was more than one group though, I musta caught the back group as I was a few minutes late. We had Obie and the motorbike again, but they didnt push to much initially. Also, the top guys didn't go ape **** on pomona hill either, they took it quite easy for a change. There was a bit of speed as we came around to Great north, and a few guys broke away there, I stayed in the chasing bunch being the lazy prat that I am. We averaged 36km/h so it wasn't a bad effort, but our bunch was a bit more relaxed than the spleen bursting, lung exploding, ear bleeding pace I've grown accustomed to.[/quote'] well then you would have been in the third bunch because if the plan went like it was supposed to we had organised dean nel's motorbike for Foxy Spence and thierry and the other DCB boys to motor pace past the OB Train hehehehehe unless dean was too lazy to wake up yesterday!!!

  8. Ok guys to be honest i can agree that the bike park still has a lot of work to do and the guys that are running it (Geoff and CO) are working on it all the time if you can give me one time that you have been to logwood and all the trails have been open for riding and have been in brilliant riding form then it would be a miracle not only do they have to work everyday to keep the trails up to standard but the bike park will never be finished and not all the trails will be open everyday i can agree with mud dee though why do we always complain???? why not just go to them and tell them about your issues instead of posting them here where Geoff will never read them because he does not have time because he is working on the trails that he would like you to enjoy!!!!!!!! i can understand your frustration about there not being any northshore stuff or hectic drops and freeriding stuff but why must they put all of that there if they are going to spend more time maintaining the stuff for the minority about the bridge well yes i can agree one hundred percent there i dont know what they were thinking BUT we might all be surprised in the future you never know till it happens!!! also Geoff has been building trails for longer than most of us have been riding bikes so i think he has more than enough experience where the trailbuilding is concerned!!!! ok cheers people see you later
  9. HI Hubbers Most of you will know Baie sukkel by the fact that he sells stuff on here BUT i know him differently He organised a set of 9 speed shifters for me a few months back that were crash damaged but still in perfect working order i met him for the first time in my life at the carousel and what an awesome guy!!!!! in the months running up to today he has been a really great help to me organising for me to go and do my drivers licence test in Zeerust this morning because i couldnt get a booking anywhere else in JHB in this time running up to the test my Dad's car was written off and i was unable to get a car till 6am this morning i didnt want to disappoint baie-sukkel by failing either Well i failed because the person that i borrowed the car from forgot to renew the license disk so i got to the pre drive checks and then discovered the license disk was expired in july already Not only is this a thank you message but an apology as well Baie sukkel (Gustav) Hardus (Gustav's step brother) and DR Viljoen (Gustav's dad) all dd everything they could to get me my license today and i would like to extend my family's extreme thanks i have no words for what you did for me and i really do appreciate it you are a really good person and your family is amazing I would also like to apologise for being so stupid as to not check the license disk before i drove out of my friends house this morning as it wasted a whole day for you Gustav (anticipation) and it was unnecissary Hubbers Baie sukkel didnt need to put all this effort in for me as he has a very busy job and is working most of the time so i really appreciate all his help you can trust him no matter what So once again Thank you Gustav and God Bless!!!!!

  13. your bulidup to any event determines if you cramp or not For example if you change your routine in your eating there is a likelihood that you dont have the correct amount of something in your body for it to perform at the right levels also your supplement intake (not energy drinks) your vitamin C your B12 (examples) and other important vitamins could also be lacking it will take some time but do some tests and see what you eat before a race and then document it and then see if you change some habits in your eating if it helps or makes it worse another thing is that your energy drink could not be agreeing with your system it has taken me a few years but i have found a range of supplements that dont give me stomach cramps and help with my recovery in most situation if all else fails put extra miles into your legs by getting time in the saddle
