  1. yes if anybody knows please let us know my mom is also looking at doing one
  2. clothing gets import duties thanks to some bright spark here in Sa saying that buying local is lekker we have the same problem with our ice hockey kit at work the price that we pay is not the price that we get quoted thanks to the nice people at the offices at the airport who think it is funny to add 10% to each item of kit landing it really is a farse!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. 94.7 is tougher because of the hills factor but the argus is toughr because of the wind and BM factor(BM= Big match) why i say BM factor is because everyone wants to do thier best argus for bragging rights back home or for the next bunch ride to be honest the guys in the argus are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too tense the road is big enough for everyone but in the excitement of people wanting to beat each other especially the testosterone filled A bunch there are always much worse crashes in the argus than in 94 so enough of my rant Argus is tougher mentally 94 is tougher physically
  4. Swissvan i am the simple minded type why prolong the inevitable if it can be done in three seconds and be right!!!!!!! why waste time in reading a whole page of stuff that confuses you or takes you back to your cleat position is wrong!!!!! so in short while the toe in and toe out stuff is a good thing to know you will never have it perfect unless you have a millimetrical measure under your foot attached to the pedals that will be attached to your cleat while you ride so that you find the ultimate riding position and cleat position so unless you know exactly how many degrees your foot will be out at each part of the pedal stroke i dont really think it is worth worrying about the toe in and out thing unless you do the hokey pokey because that is when your toes and legs should be in or out
  5. as far into the middle of your foot as possible and on the ball of your foot
  6. kori i might be able to help you out what spoke count do you need?????
  7. Great pic's dude
  8. if the tension is fine and the cables are relatively new spray a bit of Q2 or other spray lube down the cable outers periodically
  9. yes they only come in a 29er the components will work but not the wheels and cable lengths you will also need to look at replacing your chain because the rear stays will also be longer try maybe looking for a decent second hand carbon orbea hardtail if you really want an orbea or just look at the sott scale 20 that was on the for sale posts earlier have a good evening
  10. Remember it is a 29" bike in other words the wheel size is 3" bigger than a normal hardtail if you want to go for a 29er rather go for Big guy G's bike search in for sale and there is a Gary fisher 29er for sale at a give away price it is a gary fisher and the after sales service would be great seeing as fisher is much easier to get hold of spares than orbea is!!!
  11. nite rider cool heat got thier stock of SLX grouppo's sometime last month so you should be alright just walking into your Non price fixing LBS and then make a special order
  12. yea you might not have to change outer length though as that should stay the same unless you are changing frames at the same time as changing cables the only change that would be needed is a longer inner and you should be sorted hope that makes sense
  13. all you could ask him to do is route it from the back as that will help it trace a straighter path down the seat tube it really doesnt matter but if you route it from the back you will have to cut the cable shorter so it doesnt catch the chain when its at it's highest point other than that if it works now leave it and then when the time comes to replace the cable just do it the other way!!!
  14. Because it's dark and currently rather damp outside? Grab a light and a rain jacket and if you really want to grab a mudguard
  15. guys my racing wheels are heavier than my training wheels and yes i can feel a difference but its all in the wind pushing me side to side with my cosmic carbones all this technical jabber just confuses me more why doesn't everyone just go ride thier bikes!!!!!!
  16. if they do comeback i am sure they will be welcomed with frequent attacks long hard gutters and the usual afk@k session that is an elite race nothing has changed since they left except the amount of people in the bunch i for one wont mind if they come back it means more people to make good quality racing
  17. i started last year at 5h30 i start this year at 5h30 woohoo have to get out of bed at 3 great success!!!
  18. Never tell the stoker to Push they will push you on the back and tell you that they are pushing!!!!!! i know this because thats what happened to me
  19. There are some awesome clinchers out there that can be pumped up to about 12bars and give the same rolling resistance as some high end tubbies and it is definitely easier to sort out if you get a puncture jus remember to carry tubes with long enough valve extensions to be able to pump them up if you have deep section wheels
  20. Well he's normally up there in the spring classics. Maybe a repeat of the 2006 Paris-Roubaix podium although he'd probably have to put a pump in Boonens spokes if he wants to win. or trail a line of coke through the cobbles
  21. i cant pinpoint a cause but can give you an exercise to do while sitting down to prevent shin splints in the future all that you do is when in seated position you have your legs at 90 degrees and tap your foot for ten minutes be aware that overextension will do more harm so basically it is just till you feel your shins start to hurt when you feel lik eyou can go further with the lifting try putting a weight on your foot starting with a can of beans or whatever you find in the cupboards avoid lquids in cans as they will move the can around too much if you do this for at least ten minutes a day on each foot you should be rid of shin splints for life!!!! trust me i got this from a sports scientist!!!!
