I was on the road race route and cold see very far ahead of me (I had a f2.8 300mm and sometimes put a x2 converter on = making it a 600mm) and a lot of traffic but no motorist mis-behave or were ergro towards the roadies (from what I can see) However.. The one poepol on a bicycle, coming 3km/h pass me (as It sat about 1/2 a meter away on the gravel) shout at me that I'm to close to the tar road. Now maybe he did not know, when you ride 3km/h on a dunwiel, stick to the tar road,..... I did my first cape epic while he was still smelling dypers... so, I cant help I'm looking stupid, .....but I do understand a bit of cycling To the other, great to capture all the smiles (or was it the south easter from the front, just blowing the mouth wide open :-) Thanks for the friendliness and kind remarks, you were troopers giving it all against a very strong head wind. Have to add, the wind kept on blowing stronger, so the back markers rode against a very stronger wind then the front guys.

I try to understand the route map, but looks like there is more water points then km's in that long route, but then again, they don't make today's cyclist the same as in the old days :-) I see they got a RP4 (I guess its a rest point?) at km 27, 5 at meerendal and then there is on the way back at km 56km another RP7 at meerendal. Looks like the 56km is the coming down, just not sure the route I'n ny time, meerendal was not open to cyclist, so I'm not very familiar with the farm

so they just go straight up the jeep track @ Meerendal pass that little canon at the top? So, where will be a good spot to take photo's, I can get up to the top of dorsberg, but that is just a steep gravel road to the top? and everyone is standing there with tafelberg as a background. So, they will not do the sweeping down single track?

Who can tell me, the piece at Meerendal, is it climbing up or do the guys coming down on that single track, and at what km mark will that be?

question: is it the shirts with hidden zips? because a year ago, I ordered L hidden zipp shirts, and it was like a meduim. It looks like they cut the correct template for large, but use more meterial of it to do the hidden zipp concept but. maybe they realize it and fix that. not sure

I got a group mtb's on the road this morning, One got a very sharp red light, good stuff, one guy had a red light in his LEFT SIDE POCKET, flashish through his weather jacket. 3 of the 5 have lights, but you cannot see it 5meters away (from behind) I did not spoke to them, because it is early and not sure if they would like it. As jy al die labels en trimmmings van droeke afhaa, en die gewone shop broeke (die top modelle) daar uitpak en se ry, sal 99% van julle nie die verskil weet. Ek was gebore, maar nie gister. Daai label is baie belangrik vir sommige mense.

yes, if money is not a problem. If the assos is in color, dont handle your chain. If you fall, make sure you land on your head, never touch the tar with the assos If you do mtbing, I recommend, only when training
