  1. dont stand on your cat, but its ok if you stand on the neighbours cat while its eating the food in your kitchen.
  2. not a lot of us will be on the poduim at finishes or making a living out of cycling. just get on your bike, go ride till you cant wait for Muldervlei's coffee, turn around, have some coffee, cycle back home, kick the dog, clean the pool, send the wife to the shop, and get on your back, and watch the rugby. Man, just cycle because you love it, than the 5-6hour rides is not a problem at all.
  3. let me explain (only my opinion and this is how I do it) I do not count the kilometers - its means nothing !! I do 4 - 5 hours LONG rides at ""just above"" easy riding, on saturdays and sundays. If you were off the bike for 6months or more, you need at least 2-3months of long rides, just to get the lungs back, and power back in the legs. If you are a youngster, obviously speed is most important, however, for me, endurance is more importants So if you can go for 38km/h for 120min, I can go 35km/h for 5 hours. The older you get, endurance is more important.
  4. on a road bike, or mtb? ave heartrate? flat road, hills? the 1000km is very far off. i.m.o

  7. I had a look at the SID, the bottom 10cm is just a hallow pipe? So, what is the decision here? and why is this one cheaper than the other RLT Dual Air? Rock Shox Reba RLT Dual Air 2011 @ R3500 Weight: 1625 g
  8. What is so difficult to identify the culprit? 1) You have to show your lappie number at the table when entering the easy entry card? Dont you? 2) You than identify the card and look at the race number on it. 3) You than get the owner of the lappie number into the office to explain 4) You remove his record from the results, bann him for a year 5) You take the lappie, walk to the toilet and flush or... do I miss something? or you put this in place: 1) You have to show your drivers licence or ID when giving a easy entry 2) If you are to young, you dad or mom have to show theirs or... do they realize the race numbers is down, and going down race by race, rather get more money? ..
  9. swiss, I think thats the pressure. I did 4 already, must admit, I'm not afast decender, so bit more caurtios, but I alway go 2.8 on both, Dont do a mistake an dthink the TT in woester should be faster, its a tough TT and rough terrain, keep the tyre pressure as what you use the day before, you have a littl erun over the golf course and some tar section, but not long enough to go harder on the pressure and one tip, stay away from the big blade trust me, your knees is going to thank you when everyone around you is looking like war sivivours
  10. its not the bike, its going to be the one you trust the most and fit the best for 8 days (7 -8hours a day non stop)
  11. It looks like he is 7kgs heavier than you will it make a diff? I also think a big role will be on how attacking do you going to ride on the rocky areas, if you are a kammakazi downhill guy, you going to hit big rocks at hight speed, so your weight will be a factor or is my thinking incorrect?

  13. Swissvan, I think you will be spot on with the 2.8bar on the monorail @ about 80kg. You going monorail at the back as well? Or crossmark? Maybe in Tokai fores, lots of loose gravel, about 2.3, but once in ceres area, lots of rocks , not that much sand around that world

  17. I think that you still need to report it, Pressure will build up on the cops to patrol. My concern is that these thugs broke the bottom 2 vibrecrate slabs in that painted wall, and they use that to escape Next time you pass there, check at one point, almost hidden behind the low busghes, they got a hole in the wall.
  18. The planned ride for Monday has been cancelled.
