i cried there I get the eerie sensation that you were not the only one. I think that Cry Like a Girl Hill would be a more suited name. Worst part is there is camera man riiiight at the top so you have to look your Sunday best when you past him. Do they take a picture even when you're pushing your bike?

Bought a pair of Unabomber gloves couple of months ago for the winter. Now the palms are starting to loosen at the stitching. I didn't have a fall with the gloves or anything. Anybody had the same issue perhaps and where can I get hold of the Fox guys? Thanks for the help

Yes, doing the CC for the first time. Always did the 25km run, you might have seen some runners on the tar road section in previous years. It has become a family weekend, since 2004, we would stay at a place next to the river, some would fish, some would run and some would do the bike. Not sure if I would be up to the 101 and the 56... maybe next year... Sorry, but I cant resist Ricky... but I have to say "Shake and bake !!!"

Did the same, still working fine... after wiping them clean as possible of course

Clean Green followed by a dose of teflon based lube... But I always apply lube like white lightning or rock n roll before each ride. The teflon lube is only for directly after cleaning the chain... displaces any water or unwanted cleaning agent residue.

Only back home twice a week...about 20km. Need to fit the swimming and running in as well long rides over the w/e.

I leave work in Sandton at about 4pm, arrive in Fourways at about 4:50pm. 18.5km at about 22km/hour average (oh yes, the hill up Grosvenor drive towards William Nicol is part of the route) Sticking to the shoulders next to roads, so bring your MTB.
