  1. Whoop Whoop .... I am currently wearing this shoe for past 18 months would love a new pair.
  2. The guy who ended 5th in the 30km race turned around at the serious mud at the back of Serengeti. So beg to question what about the first 4 riders.
  3. Agreed, as I only started cycling last year and have thus far purchased the Racetec chip, which were used for 94.7 MTB challenge and also the SAS board with Chip, that is used in the Nissan Trailseeker events. I am happy to purchase a Champion Chip, just were not informed of this, and as I did the race in March at Dunblane, I paid as I did now and my time were official back then.
  4. My only issue is with Finish line as they did not make anybody aware of the fact in the shop when we entered. Enjoyed the race, but they making them self look bad with the small amounts of people on the results.
  5. Well had a rant regarding this allready. On their entry forms in the shop the ladies only made us fill in the back page, where no mention of a champion chip were made of... Entered 6 people in total and guess what - no times !!!! Could have just made an option on the entry form at the back where you can tick and buy a chip or could have just get the girls at the shop to say -- listen do you have a chip or not ?? for R190 you would at least expect to be timed then !!
  6. Signed up. Aiming for a sub 3 hours in the 60km. Haven't been training much in the winter..
  7. In for the 60km again.
  8. Hi, Lots of Road and MTB group riders normally riding from Shell Garage on Corner of Monument and Dann Road.
  9. Will be there... previous day doing the Cullinan Nissan Race.
  10. Enjoyed the trail again with the single tracks. Only issue perhaps the amounts of entries causing the bottle necks.
  11. Did the 50km @ the USN Cup 2, and did it in 2:45. All depends if you get caught up in bottlenecks or sit behind somebody slow at the single tracks for the last 25 km !! Very nice ride. Doing the 30 this time around with buddies. good luck and enjoy !!!
  12. Half Marathon - Early Bird done !!
  13. Wow, damn nice bike..... waiting for my ship to come in too -- 1 day !!!
  14. Will settle for the 40km -- have not done Nissan at Cullinan before.
  15. Awesome pictures...
  16. Well organized as always.... some bottlenecks, but that happens at most races these days.
  17. Were a group of friends entering the Lite for January -- did the Sasol Emerald Casino Lite last year. Hope this would be bit easier seeing that it is 200m less swim and also in a Dam compared to the Vaal River. On downside the Bike and run section should be harder due to terrain ...
  18. Also use Finish Line Cycles in Kempton Park.. recently did my tubeless conversion for my 29er and service for the 94.7 race and their services and willingness to assist where they can is great...
  19. Is that a Merida Big Nine 500 ?? If so recently also bought one and enjoying the ride !!
  20. My clock time 2:55 -- Official time today received 3:18
  21. My first 40 after always doing the 20km fun rides, and enjoyed it, except for cramping from the 30km mark Otherwise the route were fun, and the bottlenecks did take some timeon the official time, but then again it is expected on such big number races. So reckon from now on it will be the 40's for me. Entered the 55km for 94.7 but worried that I might be aiming too high !!!
  22. I allready have a race board from the Tygervalley race, which were a 20km. So now doing the 40km this weekend,do I still need to go to the shops to get he board sorted or can this be done on the morning ??
  23. Entered for my first 40km race... Did the 20km at Tyger Valley and 30 KM at Serengeti, hope the extra 10km is makeable. Sure I should finish if my bike holds out... but I reckon I will go for longest day
  24. Seems like it is back to normal
