  1. Not even close !
  2. Unfortunately had a bad experience there aswell, ordered an item through them in September last year. The only thing that arrived when I followed up was excuses and to date my order has still not arrived.
  3. Yeah but it also comes down to how hard you ride the bike, if you watch these guys (and not on TV cos its doesnt show) they ride the bikes hard and fast, they might be light but they seriously punish the bikes and hence the probability for more punctures. I rode the Epic last year without a single flat, on Crossmark's :-)
  4. 317's on a DT Swiss 370 Hub with the right spokes are so solid. Never ridden on Fulcrum so cant give u a comparison.
  5. Same thing happened to me and LBS's were useless, Hog not sure where u r but if u r in CPT then I can recommend a place that only does bolt and nuts.
  6. Go tubeless, so maybe some new tyres. Maxxis Crossmark are awesome.
  7. Walking through Observatory today and almost crap myself when a siren blares next to me and pulls over a car, over the loadspeaker on the police car, "Sir, please get out of your vehicle walk back down the road and retrieve the rubbish you just threw from your car from the road". Policeman must have felt like a hero cos there were about 20 pedestrians in the road who all cheered and clapped. You could see the driver felt like the biggest idiot in the world right then. Awesome stuff and yay for Metro Police.
  8. Got pushed into the gutter in Lakeside 2 weeks ago by a MegaCoach bus, probably at a similar time give or take 15 minutes. Buses are grey/silver.
  9. Okay so its okay for you to tell us all here to stop policing, according to your own theory, you should be shutting the F up and let us carry on with this thread without your purposeless interuption. Hypocrite ! Show me where on this thread I did any of the things you accuse me of. You made comment. There it is.

  11. Bustthesickness and TNT on the otherhand...........
  12. Dont worry bout bustthesickness, likes to hide behind the keyboard and then has the balls to make comment.
  13. Is it just me or does Johan always have the best posts ??
  14. So CapriW, after all that did you win ?
  15. Saw something awesome this weekend (note sarcasm), a couple were cycling up Smitswinkel, wearing very bright yellow vests, both with flashing red rear lights on the bikes.................. and no helmets
  16. Boyes drive would be insane, the amount of accidents that would take place on the corner turning right into main road again would be huge.
  17. I don't get it. Just because you also ride a bike does this give you the right to be an enforcer of the rules? It's not even law that one needs to wear a helmet. If it were' date=' you STILL have no right to just wind down and chirp a complete stranger because of what YOU think is right. You telling me that when you see a person driving without a safety belt on, you roll down your window and say "Morning... Where is the safety belt?". By your logic, because you're also driving a car, you are connected by the 'brotherhood of road users'. You're lucky you only got a blank stare and not a cleat mark on the side of your car. [/quote'] Um dude why are commenting on this, your philosophy is to just leave things be. Go away to your blissful ignorance already. Or is it that you only have the balls to make comment from behind your computer screen. Correct. Now, next time you see a big dumb bouncer chuck his stompie on the curb I wanna see you go up to him, and tell him to pick it up, ok! If people wanna ride without helmets then let them. WTF difference does it make to you? I do it all the time, nothing F%$K's me off more than going over OKW and the dick in front tosses a stompie so bring it on. Makes the same difference to me as commenting on this thread does to you, you clearly need to comment on it so youre kinda hypocritical.

  20. Who the hell cares if he's doing track cycling or not, he's DH world champ and should be lauded at all and any type of cycling event in SA.
  21. Generally calls that dont leave the providers network are the cheapest as there are no interconnect agreements that need to be satisfied with with other providers. FYI A GSM provider can actually transit a call on its own network for about R0.20c per/min, so if you look at what your provider is charging you vodacom-to-vodacom, we're getting ripped.
  22. Maybe some backing and spreading of this information in the various cycling/sports magazines would get the required numbers going aswell. Bicycling/Ride Mag ??????
  23. Okay so if everyone is serious about putting a court protest together I can organise that there is media present so that this gets press attention. Attention needs to be drawn to the protesters, i.e. all wearing cycling tops and "tasteful" banners. However it will be pointless if 2 or 3 people rock up and do this, it needs to be done with numbers both inside and outside the court but could take awhile due to the fact that there is no real scheduling of cases during the day so you never know what time the hearing is going to happen. Additionally, the prosecutors that are generally overworked/underpaid/disinterested etc so if there is someone on the HUB is/knows/is related to a lawyer that knows the law and can push the prosecutor in the correct direction with the correct charges etc then that would help. This thing can be taken to the "enth" degree if everyone wants but it is going to take commitment from a lot of people to make an example and possibly to the end of maybe getting laws changed to protect cyclists. Also it would help if our friends at the PPA/CSA got involved and backed this. However, if we are going to do this then with respect for Chris and his family it should be done with their consent. Pls PM me if anyone is interested in persuing this.
