  1. After 6months with gears it is time for some fun again! This time Plus SS
  2. And then before you know it the Argus will move over to south america like the Paris-Dakar.
  3. Some of the locals already said this morning it might be a good idea to travel to gauteng and rather do the 947 in future.
  4. Big Fan of these! But way outside my budget. How about a pic with the fork on your bike?
  5. Anybody doing the CTCT this sunday on their retro / vintage bike? Will be my first "Argus" on a road bike and first event on my old Bianchi. Took her for a short spin yesterday just to check if everything is working well for sunday.
  6. That is very generous. Hope there isnt hundreds that'll contact you now!
  7. Enjoyed it too, my first Argus mtb. Well organised, awesome route and even the traffic in the single tracks were fine. Had a great day!
  8. My Fuse Comp on the Bottelary trails.
  9. I can't see anybody beating Sauser and Kulhavy but I'm hoping for some close racing.
  10. As far as I know Michael swopped the dropper post for a light weight normal post when he got the bike.
  11. I had the opportunity for a spin on Michael's "Plus" SS the other day, same gearing as my bike but could immediately feel that those wheels are much harder to turn than my 26er! Awesome traction however.
  12. Will be interesting to hear how this "plus" ss performs on the hills compared to the normal ss. Single track should be fun!
  13. Hi guys, my Bianchi build. Thanks to Loose Cog for the frame and Kamaalo for most of the parts!
  14. You are welcome to join me. Ride Tygerberg MTB Trails twice a week, will probably do Contermans thursday after work. PM me if you interested.
  15. 40/18 much easier up a hill than 44/16.
  16. Ja, also did a lot of browsing before buying. In the end the Surly looked better (to me) and I could probably still use the 29er fork if I upgraded to a different frame in future.
  17. Ja, same as the unsagged susp fork. Almost bought that On One fork at the time but thought the axle to crown might have been a bit "low"?
  18. No, but I think a 650b wheel upfront will work ????
  19. Surley karate monkey 29er fork on my 26er Giant. Axle to crown basically the same as my old suspension fork.
  20. Last week at Gamkaskloof (Die Hel). Only did the climb up Elandspad and back to the camping site.
  21. Same here. Ordered yesterday and arrived this morning before 10:00. And the plugs does seem much better than the ESI ones.
  22. Also did the 30km. Saw plenty of crashes so don't feel bad! Great event, really enjoyed it.
  23. I bought a Polar m450 recently which work great but I hate the feeling of the hr belt around the chest. I assume I will still get vitality points without the belt but only less?
  24. He also did the epic last year riding single speed if I remember correctly. Incredible to do a stage race on that bike. Would like to see the top pro's giving that bike a try. I have 34x20 on my bike and barely survive a 15km ride at my trails!
