  1. thanks, we have your vote, I'm still not sure what else you're trying to say, but I appreciate the bumps all the same.
  2. Yes, this is why I'm asking and not telling. If you disagree with the OP then feel free to explain why. Correct. My opinion is that, obviously dependent upon the numbers, there are consequences for boycotting or not boycotting / ignoring the issue or voicing support for Armstrong / his sponsors. This is exactly the type of opinion I am soliciting with my thread.
  3. The question isn't loaded, it's yes or no with no baggage attached. Of course the public is free to do what they want. If they were not it would be totally irrelevant to pose the question. Whether Pn'P etc sell bicycles is naturally of no concern to me or anybody else considering sporting fraud.. or even considering sport at all seeing as none of them are fit for competition. Anyone hoping to win the TDF on a Game bike is going to need more than a bucketload of EPO and a few oil changes on the floor of the team bus.
  4. Trek, Oakley, Nike all continue to support Lance Armstrong despite his recent ban from competition due to unchallenged charges of a massive doping conspiracy. This has been arguably the largest, most successful and most profitable doping fraud the sporting world has ever known, and yet these global, vastly wealthy and influential companies continue to back Armstrong. Simple question, should the public be boycotting these sporting mega-brands? I'm inclined to vote yes, and will encourage everyone I know to do so. Here's a thought-provoking answer from a similar thread on another popular cycling forum.
  5. Great win by Contador, best racing I've seen all year.
  6. I used to get those after long rides, or hard rides over 2 hours. Went away after a while. I assumed it was dehydration or something related.
  7. Totally agree grumps, the Vuelta has been a hundred times more entertaining, especially this last stage with Contador throwing everything into that last climb. Last year was good too.
  8. Ok now we are talking!
  9. I thought the goodie bag was crap. They won't be seeing me again next year.
  10. Nice guy that Chris Carmichael - administering PEDs to minors in his care.
  11. Michael Ashenden has some choice words for Uncle Phil: http://nyvelocity.co...business-indeed
  12. I can't believe this lie keeps being repeated. Lance failed many tests. Some of these failed tests have been out in the open for years. Above and beyond this, the concrete proof is there and this is the reason he did not go to arbitration. Here is a summation of failed tests, which I've linked to and pasted into this thread maybe 3 times now: http://forum.cyclingnews.com/showpost.php?p=998716&postcount=10
  13. could be tricky negotiating that with 23mm tyres
  14. Yes we've lost boyes, but how do you feel about the swim from Kalk Bay to Clovelly? Surely that will make up for 80m of ascent?
  15. To have finished the tour in 2nd place, and to have done that in a supporting role is in itself pretty incredible. I think it is next to impossible to win another grand tour only a few weeks later. I'll be amazed if Froome pulls it off against Contador and the rest of the contenders. Good luck to him though.

  17. It's 'you-sarda' - just ask the voice of cycling. also, Merckz was a clean rider who only tested positive because the mafia stitched him up. and Barloworld were a clean team. a drop more mescaline in your tea vicar?
  18. I agree, Lance is just a better sociopath than Landis. Floyd had a go, but his technique was amateur compared to LA
  19. .. every time he turns on his microphone. seriously though, I also heard he was on the payroll, but haven't seen anything concrete to back that up yet. He does seem to be, considering his position and experience, phenomenally ill-informed on the subject of doping. It's not clear to me whether he's consciously lying or is just wilfully thick. Hard to believe he thinks Merckz was a clean rider when he was positive on 3 separate occasions. Interesting to read a post from Christie in 2007 where he cites uncle Phil staking his reputation that Barloworld were riding clean at the tour. Since he blew his rep away on that occasion, I wonder what he's staking his latest delusional speech on?
  20. http://forum.cyclingnews.com/showpost.php?p=1004074&postcount=33 Is that a little bit of leftover LA-**** around your mouth from the in-flight meal Phil?
  21. I think uncle Phil is getting a bit senile. Too many errors and holes in his speech to name here.
  22. whoever has the motorbike wins. or the 12" dong. motorbike takes precedence, unless it's a cockslapping competition.
  23. Ja, ultimately for me, whilst I admired the story being told, I never invested anything personal in the cult of lance, I just like riding bikes and dislike abuse of power
  24. In 2013 it will be main road to Kalk Bay harbour and then, due to the roadwords progression, cyclists will need to swim to Clovelly. Make sure you have a pair of inflatable arm bands to tether to your fiets so as to get the swim over with quick quick. Rumour has it RaceTec will be selling a shark-repellant transmitter combo-pack for those wanting to splash out on a new timing chip.
