  1. Donkey - road, Kriek - road, Thornman - road, Tarmac - road & mtb, some track and DH there too from way back, PrisonBreak - road, WP TT champ, went to biathlon worlds if I remember correctly, Andrew Mclean - no need to go into detail here Jules - solo-ed to victory at the UWC Road World Champs qualifier last year, from like 5 k's in - madness. Also handy with the mtb and SS apparently.
  2. lordie. Cycling News clinic regulars scrambling for their keyboards right now.
  3. Quite enjoying Wiggins' candid rapport with the press. It's like Sid Vicious took up bike racing. http://www.cyclingweekly.co.uk/news/tour-de-france/533790/wiggins-lashes-out-after-doping-accusations.html Actually not sure who he is but that geezer who manages Sky reminds me a bit of Johnny Rotten.

  5. I liked his Forrest Gump tribute, pretty funny when you know the context.
  6. Is it still a one hour penal tea if it's a spray-on warmie?
  7. Thanks, you saved me a post
  8. Nice going Charles http://www.cyclenation.co.za/news/mtb-news/races-a-results/item/9655-charles-keey-wins-recm-100miler
  9. Ha, my experience is similar. When we were kids we would ride our bmxes straight into the rooikrans to see how far we could go over the bars. The mtb learning curve doesn't feel too steep when you have a few years of that type of thing to fall back on But to answer the question, yes we are all technical geniuses. I'm posting this on my way down the Tokai switchbacks. With no lights. Actually all of my posts are submitted whilst pedalling. I thought that was in the forum rules which you obviously haven't read??
  10. I'm keen to read about the racing, not so much the semantics behind the name.
  11. Is this the only Sani 2C thread? The name implies it's about the race that Evans & George just won, but I seem to have been misled?
  12. Yes I agree that whilst Andrew's comment may not have been accurate I still think he's doing the right thing to punt SA mountain biking as hard as he can. We have a lot of untapped potential - at both the talent and the trail end of this thing - and if nobody shouts about it the kids will just go and play rugby and cricket when they could be helping to unlock it. Personally I'd rather see them ripping it up on their bikes than ripping up their mates bungholes with broomsticks at school-sanctioned training camps. But that's just me and the rest of the country probably thinks differently.
  13. Ok you win, we are ****. Minnaar and Burry were just flukes. Our mountain biking is ***. I hope Mr Clean will be more restrained in his commentary in future.
  14. maybe you'd rather he'd said 'our mountain biking is quite good, almost as good as Wales. For the sake of accuracy and international modesty I'd like to categorically state that several other nations have much better mountain biking than us'. Instead he just said we are the ****. Reckless and ignorant in the extreme.
  15. Wales? Seriously? I'm not sure the Epic would have the same international traction if it was based out of Swansea.
  16. I like the rollcage on this model - singletrack proof! http://a6.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc7/p480x480/163385_359207194138939_120147084711619_989786_193676759_n.jpg

  21. Is this latest Assos arm warmer ad just a continuation of their semi-naked approach to selling their stuff, or are they trying to break into the triathlete market? Also, why does the headless protagonist appear to be doing the five finger shuffle? Are Assos skimping on photographic costs by simply photoshopping their kit on to gay porn stars? http://citycycle.com/images/library/large/assos_armwarmerblack_11_m.jpg
  22. news to me.. when did that happen?? I really need to get out more
  23. There was one in Stellenbosch, not sure if it's still there.
  24. Yep I only ever bought one, opened the sucker up, pointed it at my open trap and only got about a third of it in there. What I did manage to swallow tasted like crap so was not too upset about pouring the rest on the road.
  25. I asked for a pilates ball. The assistant didn't know what it was. They were 20 meters away. About 3 shelves full of them. Not his section apparently.
