I only came back from weekend break now, so it is the first time that I can post this. I am the guy that wiped out very close to the end before the last water point. I do not know what happened as I lost consciousness when I fell. I came to only when a guy pulled me out of the ditch with blood flowing over my face. I was completely disorientated. The Good Samaritan took complete control when he found me. He phoned the emergency number as I was apparently trying to get back on my bike. He stayed with me and kept me calm until the first paramedic arrived. He gave his time to help me. After the medic arrived he got on his bike and left. All I can sort of remember is that his name is Arno (I think) and that he is from the Paarl. I think he said that he had 2 punctures on the race. If anyone maybe know who I am talking about please pm me his or your details so that I can thank him. He is a hero in my book.
